Color Club Blue Heaven

Color Club Blue Heaven (2 coats)
This picture is taken with my camera phone in direct sunlight.

Hey! I am sure we have all seen or at least read about how awesome
the new Color Club halo hues are.
And they are awesome.
This is the blue color called Blue Heaven.
What I love about the Color Club holographic polishes is that they only take 1-2 coats.
I usually don't wear top coat since it dries so fast and I don't want to take the chance of dulling the holographic effect.
I bought this on transdesign along with the other colors.
You can also find them on Victoriasnailsupply.com and Amazon.
Thanks for reading!

Ruby Kisses Mardi Gras

Ruby Kisses Mardi Gras (1 coat)
over
Color Club Fashion Moment (3 coats)
with
Top coat (1 coat)

Hey again. I wanted to wear some untrieds.
I started with a Color Club no name that came in a set I bought at Marshalls.
After googling some pictures I found out it is called Fashion Moment.
Color Club Fashion Moment is from the 2012 Fall Collection.
It is a very dark purple creme.
I don't really care for the formula. It was patchy for a creme polish.
But, it worked out after 3 coats.

Then I added Ruby Kisses Mardi Gras.
I bought this glitter polish at a beauty supply for under $2.
Mardi Gras is a clear based polish with small blue and purple glitter and silver holographic bar glitters.
It is ideal for layering, but can be worn alone in about 3-4 coats.
Although, I think it would be much better as a top coat.
Dry time was great and the formula was perfect.

Thanks for stopping by!

Purple Flakie Manicure

Hits Speciallita Lambada (1 coat)
over
Spoiled Checkin' in Rehab (3 coats)
with
Top coat (1 coat)
and
Butterfly sticker and glitter accents on ring finger

Hey! I tried to recreate my biggest lemming at the moment,
Cult Nails Unicorn Puke/Clairvoyant.
I think I failed.
But, it is an Okay manicure for the day.
I used Spoiled Checkin' into Rehab for the first time.
It is a purple jelly polish with flecks of pink.
As with all jelly polishes, it takes 3-5 coats to reach opacity.
I should've put one more coat of it before adding the flakies on top or layered it over another purple.
The softbox flash really shows how I should've put another coat, lol.
Oh well.
After that was dry, I added 1 coat of Hits Lambada.
Lambada is a clear based polish with orange, red, gold, green and blue flakes.
On my ring finger I did not add Lambada and put a butterfly sticker.
The sticker originally had crystal accents, but after showering those fell off.
I put some glitter accents where the crystal had fallen off.
Then I added 1 more coat of top coat and here is the result.

Zoya Twila

Zoya Twila (1 coat)
over
Color Club Cold Metal (1 coat)
with
Top coat (1 coat)

Hey again :)
I have another polish my Secret Santa gave me, Zoya Twila.

I coupled it with Color Club Cold Metal for a few reasons.
One, because the color matches perfectly.
Two, because it dries fast.
Three, because the formula is perfect to work with and is opaque in 1 coat.
Color Club Cold Metal is from the Fall 2011 Foiled Collection.
Cold Metal is a true blue silver metallic polish that any blue polish lover should own for the above reasons.

Zoya Twila is from the Gems & Jewels 2011 Holiday Collection.
Twila is glitter polish in a clear base with tiny blue glitters and bar glitters
in blue, silver and holographic silver colors. It can be worn alone in 3-5 coats.
But, I prefer to layer it as I did in these pictures.

Zoya describes it as...
"Zoya Nail Polish in Twila can be best described as: A unique bar glitter in a bright blue shade with hologram glitter accents.? A glitzy shade that can be worn alone or layered to add sparkle to your manicure"

Enjoy the pictures and thanks for stopping by!

Ninja Polish Strawberries 'n Roses

Ninja Polish Strawberries 'n Roses (1 coat)
over
Color Club Hot Like Lava (1 coat)
with
Top coat (3 coats)

Hey!
It's Pink Wednesday and I have a wonderful glitter pink polish
to share with you.
Ninjapolish.com sent me this baby as a surprise gift for a small favor
 I had done for her.
I am so thankful :)
I have been eyeing this new polish and was excited to wear it.
I decided to layer it over a similar shade by Color Club called Hot Like Lava.
Hot Like Lava is from the Color Club Fall 2011 Foiled Collection.
It is a hot pink silver metallic polish that has a great formula.

Ninja Polish Strawberries 'n Roses is a new polish
in the Ninja Polish Bling! Collection.
I have all of them and suggest
you do the same, if you are a glitter polish lover.

Here is how Ninja Polish describes their product...
"Strawberries 'n Roses is from Ninja Polish's Bling! collection. This polish contains fine rose colored pink glitters as well as highlights of holographic gold. The hint of gold in this pink polish gives an amazingly unique look. The glitters are in a clear base and cover fully in approximately 3 coats. This polish looks great in regular lighting and explodes in holographic goodness in the sun."

It is cloudy here in Atlanta, so I did not get to take any pictures of  Strawberries 'n Roses to show of the holographic accents. I did take a flash picture that shows a bit of it below.

I had to put 3 coats of top coat to achieve
super smoothness and a great shine.

Christmas Nails

Nicole by OPI Kardashing Through The Snow (1 coat)
over
China Glaze Red Satin (2 coats)
with
Christmas Stickers
and
Top Coat (2 coats)

Merry Christmas!
What a wonderful day :)
My kids are spoiled, but it's great to be able to provide them with gifts.
My husband gave me a Pandora bracelet with 4 cute charms.

Here are my Christmas day nails.
I wore China Glaze Red Satin yesterday.
I thought it was a perfect color for the day.
Of course, another easy manicure for the busy day.
Nicole by OPI Kardashing Through The Snow is a clear based polish
with small glitters in gold, silver, red, green and turquiose colors.
This polish isn't very 'Christmas-y' to me because of the turquiose glitter.
The glitters are not dense enough to be worn alone, if you want full coverage.

I did a few other christmas theme manicures that
didn't quite make it to get good pictures.
But, you can view those at the bottom anyway :P

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is full of love.

Ninja Polish Candy Cane Floam over red.
Accent finger is a nail decal.

This was a hot mess, lol.
But, It was one manicure I did in the spirit of Christmas.

China Glaze Twinkle Lights and Red Satin

China Glaze Red Satin (2 coats)
with
China Glaze Twinkle Lights accent
with
Bow Stickers
Top coat (2 coats)

Happy Christmas Eve!
These are my Christmas eve nails.
There have been so many cute manicures with nail art and stamping.
I haven't had time to be that creative, so this is what I came up with.
China Glaze Red Satin is from the Holiday Joy Holiday 2012 collection.
Red Satin is a blue-based red creme that reminds me of old fashioned red.
Like, my mom probably wore this color on her toes in the 70s-80s.
China Glaze Twinkle Lights is from the Let it Snow Holiday 2011 collection.
Twinkle Lights is a clear base glitter polish with tons of gold, green, and red glitters.
Twinkle Lights can be worn alone in 2-3 coats.

Zoya Ivanka

Zoya Ivanka (4 coats)

Hey! Here is a beauty that was given to me by my secret santa.
This reminds me of Color Club Ho-Ho-Holly and Orly Under the Mistletoe. However, Zoya Ivanka is very sheer and required 4 thin coats, where CC Ho-Ho-Holly just took a couple coats. I wore this a couple days before taking these pictures, please excuse the tip wear.

I hope everyone's weekend is going well.
Mine is.

Color Club Sugarplum Fairy

Color Club Sugarplum Fairy (3 coats)
no top coat

Hey :) Today has already started off CRAZY.
My husband woke me up at 3 am complaining of
 severe chest and stomach pains.
This is the same hubby that has the flu and strep throat.
So, we go to the emergency room and are cleared to leave around 8 am.
He has some issues with his gallbladder that need to be tested to find out exactly what the issue is.
It may or may not be related to the flu.
I drop him off and go to work.
This chica is tired! My kids are home sick, too. I'm glad I am not sick.
What would the world come to without moms taking care of everyone? lol.

Anywho. This is one of my very very favorite glitter polishes. Let me tell you why!

1. Cheap! You can get this for under $4 a piece or if you are lucky you can find the whole collection at a Marshalls or Burlington Coat Factory for $8.
2. The holographic glitter is soooooo pretty.
3. You don't need top coat!
It dries completely smooth and builds up fantastic.
4. Can easily be worn alone.

Sugarplum Fairy is from the Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe 2011 Holiday Collection.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sation Can Buy Me Love

Sation Can Buy Me Love (3 coats)
Top Coat (2 coats)

Hey there!
I have a glitter bomb for you today.
I picked this up at a nail supply store for under $5.
What an awesome polish this is.
Small, medium, and large glitters in circle, hexagon and short bar shapes.
Tons of colors.
Purple, turquiose, fuchsia, black, orange, red , silver,
green and gold and maybe more, lol.

After I took these pictures, I went to do some quick errands.
As I get back in the car, I broke my middle finger nail. Blah! lol.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the pictures :)
