Day 8- Metallic
Hey again!
2 coats of Revlon Captivate.
2 coats of Essie Shine of Times.
1 coat of Matte top coat.
This manicure reminds me of crunchy autumn leave piles.
I think I liked this manicure more before I added the matte coat.
It is still pretty though :)

Essence Edward's Love Matted

Essence Edward's Love (2 coats)
 with
 Matte top coat (1 coat)

Hey! I have Essence Edward's Love to show you.
I decided to matte it just because
I thought it would show of the silver bits much better.
I think it did.
I also added some pictures at the end of this post
to show how it looked without matte top coat.

This is my first time wearing Essence.
I found the brush to be big, but not too big to work with.
I also saw the formula on Edward's Love was thick.
Thick, but very workable and covered completely in 2 coats.
I am a big Twilight fan so I wanted this polish for that reason.

If you want to recreate this look, but do not have this polish,
below are some links to other polishes that look similar.

PS: I was always Team Edward ;P

Pumpkin Glitter over Orly Sweet Peacock

Hey again. I have 2 untrieds for you today.
Orly Sweet Peacock, a blue foil, and Pumpkin glitter in blue and fuchsia.
Orly Sweet Peacock goes on like a dream and does not need a top coat. The pumpkin glitter I bought at Rite Aide for $1.99. The brush was all screwy and I had to trim it. No biggie. The glitters in the Pumpkin polish match Orly Sweet Peacock perfectly. This is why they were paired together. Not very Halloween-y, other than the bottle is a jack-o-lantern, lol. I added matte top coat to see how it looked because it was so shiny it was hard to focus on my nails. I like it matted much better. See the pictures below.

Below is the look Matted.

Below is a picture of the combination without matte top coat.
2 layers of Orly Sweet Peacock, 1 layer of Pumpkin Glitter and 1 coat of fast dry Out the Door.

Below is a close up of Orly Sweet Peacock
with 1 coat of the Pumpkin Glitter. 1 coat of Out the Door and then 1 coat of Warpaint Beauty Matte top coat.
It is hard to tell in the picture that it is matte.
In person, this manicure looks like it sort of glowing when matted.
 Hard to explain.
I like it a lot better matted.

Below is a close up of this gorgeous polish alone. 2 coats.
Orly Sweet Peacock.
Orly is one of my favorite polish brands.
Large 18 ml bottles, great polishes, decent price.

Feenix Halloween Party over SH Midnight in NY- Matted

Hello! I wanted to show you this awesome polish by Feenix. It is called Halloween Party. Halloween party is a glitter polish in a clear base. It is jam packed with orange, green and purples glitters in tiny and small glitters. I only used 1 coat of Halloween party in all these pictures. I started with Sally Hansen's Midnight in NY. Midnight in NY is a polish I got at Walgreens drugstore when they had the closeout sale on the complete salon manicure polishes for like $2 something each. I am SOOOO glad I did get it. I put 2 coat of this beautiful black and it was dry so quick! The brushes on the complete salon manicures are very wide,  which I like. If you scroll down you will see my close up pictures on Midnight in NY. It has tiny shimmers of gold, green and red. Maybe more, but they are so small its hard to tell. Anyways, I matted the above picture. I like it matted and I also like it shiny. Either way was fine to me. You can buy Feenix polish on etsy.com.
Below is the shiny version.

Below is a close up bottle shot. Tons of glitter! No headache applying and just needed 1 coat of top coat to smooth it out.

Below is the manicure matted with Warpaint Beauty Matte polish (I bought it at Hot Topic)

My LOTD.

Lips are Lancome Trendy Mauve lip stick. This is my go to neutral lipstick. It came in a gift with purchase. Love it. My eyes are a green shade again. I used a base of Milani Shadow Eyez Green Safari. Then I blended Urban Decay Vanilla (shimmer cream) on top to lighten the green color, since my shirt is a light green. After that I took Urban Decay Deep End (aqua teal color) and blended it in the crease. Topped it off with liquid eyeliner and masacara.

The Halloween Challenge- Trick or Treats

Hello! I am a couple days late on starting this challenge.
Better late than ever!
I started with a 1 coat of WnW Black Creme then added
1 coat of Up Colors Viagem and then put 1 coat of fast dry.
After it was dry I added the stickers then
topped it off with Warpaint Beauty Matte.
Flakie polishes pop better with a matte top coat in my book.
I would have rather put some ghost or skeleton stickers,
but the challenge asked for candy.
Up Color Viagem is a great flakie polish.
You can see all the flakes from just 1 coat.
Up Colors Viagem a 2! is red, gold and green flakies in a yellow base.
See below for the color shifts.

I stopped by a beauty supply and picked up some goodies for low prices.
From Left to Right....
Ruby Kisses-Cast a Spell, Ruby Kisses Mardi Gras, NYX Moon Walk, NYX Enchanted Forest, Kleancolor Metallic Green and NYX Luscious Green.
The Ruby Kisses were $1.99, NYX $1.49 and Kleancolor was $1.

Pebble Beach- Fire Opal Step 4/ LOTD

Hello! In between doing Halloween challenges I wanted to post some polishes that haven't received any love. First up is Pebble Beach Fire Opal Step 4 .
There are a total of 4 steps, which are shades that are supposed to be applied as a gradient. I only picked up this one, which is the darkest of the four steps. The formula is thick and opaque in basically 1 coat, although I used 2 coats to be sure. It is sort of matte, foil, and gritty at the same time. My pictures show it without top coat.
I really love this color for fall.
I believe this is sold in some Walgreens and beauty supply stores for around $3  or less each.

Next I tried Pebble Beach Ruby Step 4
This is a dark burgundy with the same finish as Fire Opal Step 4.
Below is only 1 coat. I am amazed at the coverage of this nail polish.
I just put the one coat and let it be. I personally like the foil matte look.

And here is my look for the day.
I didn't put much make up on, you can see I look tired.
I love my earrings and sequin flats, though :)
Thanks for reading!
