Kiko 255

Kiko 255

Hello, here is a pretty purple polish with tiny holographic glitter accents.
This is 2 coats of Kiko 255 and 1 coat of Out the Door top coat.
This lasted a couple of days with no chipping before I took it off.
I really like this polish and am glad I swapped for it.
I am not sure where you can purchase this polish since its from the Italy.
(Thanks for the correction Simona ;)

And here is a lipstick I wore today.
Its Maybelline 14 hour lipstick in Eternal Rose.
This is 2 layers and dries a little dry.
If you do have naturally dry lips, I suggest not wearing it.
But, otherwise it is a decent lipstick
that lasts a good while with good color payoff.

Hits Hera

Hello!
We had yet another day where the sun came out here in Atlanta.
I tried my Hits Hera with 2 coats with 1 coat of top coat.
After seeing this picture, I should have put a third coat.

The formula on Hera is wonderful.
It goes on smoothly and dries quickly.
Hits polishes are from Brazil.
You can purchase them online at

Blue holographic mani

Hello!
I wore this manicure because it was the first
day we had sun the whole day this summer.
It has been raining like crazy here in Atlanta.
I couldn't decide which blue holographic polish to wear.
I ended up wearing 4 different polishes.
I added top coat over all of them.
I used a base of Duri Rejuvacote and Orly Bonder.

On my pinkie nail I have a base of Maybelline Navy Narcissist
with 1 coat of Hits Hefesto holo top coat.

On my ring finger and thumb I have Dance Legend High Voltage (11).
I added nail stickers.

Middle finger is a base of Maybelline Navy Narcissist
with 1 coat of China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out.

My pointer finger is 2 coats of Hits Apollo.

Now I will talk about these polishes...

Maybelline Navy Narcissist is a gorgeous 1 coater.
It is a metallic polish that dries quickly.
Hits Hefesto is my favorite holographic top coat.

Dance Legend High Voltage is a wonderful
linear holographic polish that goes on like butter.
I used 2 coats.

Hits Apollo is a jelly like holographic that went on
smoothly with 2 coats.

Milani Lavender

Hello :)

I wanted to wear some untried drug store brands.
Here is the result.
I started with Maybelline Amythest Ablaze, 2 coats.
It is a metallic light purple that seems darker and more silver in the bottle.
You can see a bottle picture below to see what I am talking about.
Because I have peeling on my middle finger, I did not want
to leave it with just this polish.
Metallic polish shows any flaws you may have on your nail.
So, I looked in my drawer for a glitter polish that would match
and had not been worn.
Milani Lavender waved at me and so I chose her, lol.
I put 2 thin coats and then 1 coat of HK Top coat.
Milani Lavender is a clear based polish with small blue toned purple glitter
and medium light purple hexagon glitters.
I think because my base was a in between purple from the
2 purple tone glitters, it was a perfect match to highlight all 3 colors.

I am going on day 3 and not even tip wear has shown.
I am on the computer 12 hours a day...that says a lot about the tip wear.

The result is soooo pretty and sparkly.
I am very pleased with the longevity and plan to recreate this
manicure with other colors with the same brands.

Mint Mani for Talia Joy

Hey there.
I am sure you have heard of the passing of Talia Joy this past Tuesday.
I came across her channel on YouTube last year when I was
searching for make up tutorials.
I loved watching her and learning from her.
She was so cute and happy in her videos.
I made sure to subscribe.
I am sad to hear of her passing, but glad she is no longer in pain.
My heart goes out to her family and friends that were
lucky enough to have her in their lives.

My nails are 2 coats of China Glaze For Audrey.
1 coat of Hit Polish Hefesto.

It is a pretty manicure like the pretty young lady it's in honor of.

Thanks for stopping by
and hugs to everyone.

Neon Skittles with Holo top coat

Hello :)
A group I am in decided to do a group manicure.
The theme is NEON.
I was really pressed for time.
This is simple contribution to NEON Friday.
I started with a white base and then added
no name Island Girl neons on top.
I always wanted to holo my neons.
So, this was a perfect opportunity to try it.
The neon green and yellow were so bright,
it was hard to see the holographic shimmer.
The orange and blue showed the pretty rainbows the best.
I used Hits Hefesto for the holo top coat btw :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Kleancolor Metallic Purple

Hey!
Here is a metallic polish by Kleancolor.
I received this as a gift from a sweet friend on Facebook.
She also sent me some other Kleancolor metallics in the same package.
Very kind of her and I will def put them to use.

Kleancolor is known for its cheap price ($1) and strong smell.
Personally, I don't even notice the smell.
However, the polishes Kleancolor makes that are not metallic
like the holos and glitters take forever, if ever, to dry on me.
I hate that because their chunky holos and regular holos are very pretty.

Anyway, back to this beauty.
The above picture is with top coat and outside with natural daylight.
That is one coat!
Metallics are awesome at being one coaters.
With top coat, this polish is amazing!
It has a glow-y effect but is still a pretty vamp purple.
Calling all purple lovers!
Hehe.

Below is one coat of Metallic Purple, no top coat.
You can see the silver particles in the polish here.

Then below is with 1 layer of top coat.
You can see the silver particles disappear once the top coat is added.
I think this is a much better look for this polish.
And now look back at the top picture to see how it is in the sun.
Perfection!

Saturday Morning Cartoons

Good day to you :)
This is a polish that was on my wishlist for a good while.
I was lucky enough to receive it as a birthday gift back in April
from the sweet Atlcatsmeow (facebook and instagram).
She also gave me other goodies and Picture Polish Kryptonite.
I chose to wear Saturday Morning Cartoons over a blue
matte polish I bought at Rite Aide last year for $2.99.
It is called Ma.nish.ma Electric Blue.
I put on 1 thin coat of Saturday Morning Cartoons and
then dabbed the glitters around to my liking.
I just wanted accents of the glitter, not a bunch of glitter
fighting for space. I wasn't in a glitter fighting mood. haha
I like the result and love the blue base color.

The polish is meant as a top coat is seems,
so pick a pretty color as a base and have fun with it :)
If you are lucky enough to have one.

China Glaze vs. Milani Gold Holos

China Glaze Its My Turn vs Milani 3D
Hello!
Here is a quick comparison post for you.
I chose 2 scattered holographic gold polishes.

I applied 2-3 coats of each over
Duri Rejuvacote and 1 coat of top coat.

China Glaze Its My Turn is discontinued as of 2010.
(eBay and blog sales for $10+)

Milani 3D is discontinued as of winter 2012.
(you can find on blog sales for $2-$5)

Formula wise, China Glaze is more watery and is shown with 3 coats.
It probably needed 4-5 to be honest.

Color wise, Milani 3D is more of a yellow gold.

Holographic pay off, China Glaze has a linear scattered effect
while Milani has mostly a scattered holographic effect.

They are similar, but noticeably different.

Can you guess which is which from the pictures below?

( Below is in the direct sunlight)
Pointer & Ring= Milani 3D
Middle & Pinkie= China Glaze Its My Turn

Probably not, but I still plan on keeping both.

Formula wise, China Glaze is more watery.
Color wise, China Glaze is a tad bit darker.
Holographic pay off, China Glaze has more of a linear scattered effect
while Milani has mostly a scattered holographic effect.

Can you guess which is which from the pictures below?

China Glaze Pool Party

Hey there!

Here is a bright neon pink for you to check out.
China Glaze Pool Party is a super fun color.
It was released in the Summer of 2010 Poolside Collection.

I also have Flip Flop Fantasy, Kiwi Cool-ada
and Sun Worshipper from the same collection.

China Glaze Pool Party is shown here over a white base with 2 coats.
As usual, neon colors are hard to capture in pictures.
I am sure you can tell it is a bright color though :)

I decided to add some holographic glitter to the mani.
Funky Fingers Sand and Stilettos fit the bill just right.
I just dabbed on a bit of it on the top and then
added a couple coats of top coat to smooth it out.

I have been wanting to wear more of my holographic polishes.

But, the constant rain all summer has me wearing my beloved neons.

Thanks for stopping by!

Iris Colors Purple Diamond

Iris Colors Purple Diamond

Hey there!
Here is a beauty supply brand Iris Colors.
I bought this for $1.99.
I also bought another color, Hermaid, I hope to show you soon.
But, back to this beauty.
Iris Colors Purple Diamond is a glass fleck polish that covered in 2 coats.
I absolutely love this polish.
It went on easily and dried pretty fast.
The result is this pretty lavender with pink and silver tones.
I highly recommend finding this polish if you are on a budget
and love a good polish.

Island Girl Hula Girl with Icing Black Shredded

Hey!
This is another neon Island Girl polish.
Island Girl Hula Girl (cutest name ever) is a neon duo chrome.
Hula Girl is a glow-y neon orange that has shifts of pink.
Up close you can see the tiny pink shimmers.

I started with a base of Essie Blanc (white)
and then I added 2 coats of Hula Girl.
I thought it looked plain, so I decided to
try Icing Black Shredded on top.
I kind of regretted it.
The rough looking black chunks went against
the dreaminess of Hula Girl.
Like a cheerleader trying to be goth, it was hard to accept.
Haha.

I received this as a gift from my sweet friend on Facebook.
She also sent me 6 other full sized polishes that I hope
to show you before the summer is over.

I added a picture below so you could see the entire gift.

Thanks for stopping by!

See? Friends are awesome!

Sally Hansen Burgundy Orchid

Sally Hansen Burgundy Orchid

Hi! Look at this beauty.
This Sally Hansen polish was originally released in 2002.
I found a pretty good blog post about this line
I was lucky enough to receive this in a swap from
a friend in Brazil of all places, lol.

I searched for this polish online and saw it is for sale on eBay for $14.99.
I think that is a good price for this hard to find polish.

I was wearing Dance Legend Optical Illusion and thought
it would be the perfect base for Burgundy Orchid.
I think I was right :)
Just 2 coats of Burgundy Orchid
over 1 coat of Dance Legend Optical Illusion
gave me this wonderful result.
In the last picture you can see the holographic effect showing through!

Thanks for reading!

Sation Starlight Covers

Hello!
This is a polish that gave me the hardest time
 with capturing its beauty.
It is sooooo pretty.

First off, its a jelly that covered in 2.5 coats.

Secondly, its loaded with holographic glitters.

Thirdly, it lasted 3 days NO CHIPS NO TIP WEAR!

Fourthly (do people even say this?), its like $5 or less at a beauty supply.

Lastly, it came off easily and dried fast.

This is Sation Starlight Covers.
Sorry my pictures don't convey all that I say.
Take my word for it, its pretty.

My only complaint...
the formula is pretty runny. So, beware when applying.
A little goes a long way.

Thanks for stopping by!

KBShimmer Shipwreck

KBShimmer Shipwreck

Hello! I have this pretty KBShimmer polish to show you today.
I started with 2 coats of Butter London Bluey, a teal sheer polish.
Then I added 2 coats of KBShimmer Shipwreck.
Lastly, 2 coats of HK Girl Top coat.
I let each layer dry some what before adding the next.
I love the result.
Shipwreck can be worn alone in 3-4 coats, however I think it is
best if layered to cut dry time.
KBShimmer can be purchased at
www.kbshimmer.com
KBShimmer is one of my favorite indie brands.
The quality and creativity are wonderful.
This brand also makes bath products that I have read other people love.
I have only tried the polishes and I love each one I have.

Sorry the pictures are blurry.

Thanks for stopping by!
