Different Dimension Light it Up Blue

Howdy there :)
Different Dimension made this polish.
Here is what she said about it...

"Light It Up Blue literally glows blue in the dark -
inspired by Autism Speaks and World Autism Day.

This polish has a light blue jelly base with blue & silver holographic glitters & a few large white hexes and it GLOWS BLUE in the dark!!
I will be donating 2.00 from every sale of this polish (& Puzzle Pieces) to Autism Speaks, so not only are you getting an awesome polish, but your money is also going towards an amazing charity!"

This polish glows blue in the dark! Very cool.
I failed to get any pictures of it glowing in the dark.
However, you can click the link above to see some swatches of it glowing.
I chose to wear 1 coat of Light it Up Blue
over 2 coats of Sally Hansen Calypso Blue.
Then I topped it off with 1 coat of top coat.
Even without the cool factor of it glowing, its really pretty. I especially love the holographic glitters that float in the light blue jelly base and the large white glitters add a little somethin' somethin'

Thanks for stopping by!

Different Dimension Fight Like a Girl

Different Dimension Fight Like a Girl (1 coat)
over
Color Club Wild Orchid (2 coats)
with
Top coat (1 coat)

Hey there.
I didn't know what to wear for a base color for Fight Like a Girl.
I googled swatches and most bloggers wore pink.
I wanted to see all the glitter colors in the polish,
so I decided against pink and went with grey.

Color Club Wild Orchid is a pretty grey
with tiny shimmers of light purple, blues, and silver.
I put 2 coats and didn't want to cover it!
The formula was great.
Wild Orchid is from the Untamed Luxury Fall 2010 line.

After that dried a little I added 1 coat of Different Dimension Fight Like a Girl.
The glitter pay off was perfect for 1 coat and
I did not have to push around the glitters to have an even look.
I took a shower right after I did my nails, so I messed up my pointer finger.
Oops!

Here is what Different Dimension said about this polish...
"A friend of a friend, Rachael (whom I have never personally met yet), on Aug 13, 2012 was diagnosed with Myofibroblastic Sarcoma (one of the RAREST forms of Cancer - Sarcoma's account for only 1% of ALL cancers) after being misdiagnosed over 2 years prior. She has 4 children and needs help paying for medical bills, doctor's visits, etc... 50% of the profits from this polish will go directly to her to help pay for all those expenses!
---This polish has a clear base & is packed with teal, magenta and silver holo hexes as well as black hexes and some ultrafine silver holo dust."

I believe this polish is unavailable at the moment.

Different Dimension Blue Christmas

Different Dimension Blue Christmas (1 coat)
over
Pure Ice A List (2 coats)
Top coat (1 coat)

Hey! Things have been hectic for me lately.
My husband is sick with the flu and strep throat.
So, I have been carrying his load at our store and
of course at home with the kids.
That means no me time.
I wanted to post a couple swatches.
Oh well! He is getting better though :)
And I have been taking tons of vitamins and
drinking lots of water to dodge his sickness, lol.

Here is a light blue glitter manicure for you to see.
It's not my favorite.
I think I picked a funky underwear that didn't show of the glitter top coat.
What do you think?
I paired it with Pure Ice A List. A discontinued light frost blue color I bought at Wal-mart for $1.97 plus tax.
I don't care for frosts because it shows all the imperfections on the nail.
I have peeling issues on my nails.
Luckily the glitter covered the obvious uneven parts.

Different Dimension Blue Christmas a clear polish with really pretty light blue, white, grey small and medium glitters in hexagon, diamond and square shapes with tiny holographic glitter accents.

Here is what Different Dimension said about Blue Christmas...
"Blue Christmas is a polish I've been looking for for years
 and finally made myself!
It has a clear base, holographic blue and silver glitter, white, blue and silver holographic hexes."

Different Dimension Rainbows & Butterflies

Different Dimension Rainbows & Butterflies (1 coat)
over
Color Club Lumin-Icecent (1 coat)
1 coat top coat

Here is another indie polish for you :)
This is a Limited Edition polish from Different Dimension.

The seller describes it...

"Rainbows & Butterflies has a pearly white jelly base and is packed literally with a ton of rainbow holographic glitters! There are also pink holographic butterflies added, because who can be upset when there are butterflies involved?!?"

I thought the base color would look nicely over Color Club Lumin-Icecent, a metallic foil light blue, and this is result. The base color in Rainbows & Butterflies is so light, you could layer it over any polish. I did have to fish for the butterfly glitters, most of them had settled to the bottom. No biggie.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures :)

Different Dimension Sparkles Like Edward

Different Dimension Sparkles Like Edward
I am headed to the movies NOW.
I have little time to post this, so excuse the shortness.
This is 2 coats of Sparkles like Edward.
White base with small holographic glitters
in pink, light purple, aqua, and gold.
LOVE this formula.
I added 1 coat of top coat.

The first movie was a disgrace to the book.
But, all the rest have been spot on.
I hope the last one doesn't disappoint!

This picture is funny, lol.

This polish will be discontinued after tonight at 11:59 pm!

Black and Gold- Go Bears!

Hey again! I wanted to do a quick post of my nails showing
some decals I had specially made.
I ordered them from RLR Creations.
I sent her a couple of pictures and she had them ready and to me in about a week. They were about $2.25 per page of 20 decals. I ordered a lot of other styles I am sure I will share with you later. But, back to this manicure.
I also received Different Dimension Black & Gold that I wanted to pair up with my nail decals. So, I painted my nails black and put 1 coat of Black & Gold on top. Black & Gold is a "black jelly base with ultra fine holographic gold glitter and gold glitter dust all throughout!"
Nail decals do not show up on black. So, I painted white circles on the black nails and then after that was dry, I added the decals. Then I got a small brush and painted black around the edges to cover the white to make it appear the decals were only on black. After all that was dry I put some clear top coat on.
I love the result. My son's team went up against one of the best teams in our county and lost 14-27 :*(. But, they did great in the second half and had fun.
You can see my son and husband (who is a coach on the team) in the above picture. I am so proud of them.
Here is a picture of him in action, he is number 2.
They have pink shoe strings and pink socks on for
 October's breast cancer awareness month.

Below is one of the rings I have been wearing lately.
Its a feather peacock design with crystal accents.
Love it!

Here is some nail mail.
I received these from Different Dimension when she had a 50% off sale.
I wore the Black & Gold above.
I will be sure to wear the other beauties soon :)

Black & Gold, Rainbows & Butterflies, and That is SO Fetch!

Halloween Nail Art Challenge- Spiderweb

Halloween Nail Art Challenge
Spiderweb
Hello! I meant to post this yesterday, but I wanted to take a better picture of it then my phone does. And that camera is at my work. Here is Different Dimension Spectral Tiger. It is a Limited Edition glow in the dark polish made by Different Dimension on Etsy. She is currently sold out of Spectral Tiger, sorry. I started with my usual base coat of Orly Nail Defense then I put a polish that I received as a gift from a lovely swap I got from over the pond from Shel. It is called Hot Looks Button Moon. A very pale light blue. To reach opacity it requires 3 coats. You can see on my pinkie and ring finger I put 2 coats and my middle and pointer have 1 coat. I only put 2 coats because I knew I would be layering 2-3 coats of Spectral Tiger.
Different Dimension Spectral Tiger is nuclear glow in the dark as someone described in a group I am in. That is for sure. If you see the post before this one you can see how it out shines my other glow in the dark polishes. It is pretty in the light as well. It has Iridescent and holographic glitters in it.
After all my coats dried I added my stickers, then 2 coats of fast dry top coat by Out the Door. I am not getting any shrinking from out the door. Thank goodness, because Seche Vite ruined a bunch of my manicures.

Glow in the Dark Polish Comparison

Hey! Quick post about my glow in the dark nail polishes. I wanted to show the difference in the intensity of their glowing power! They were all in the sun for about 5 minutes. Equal time for all. From left to right; Pumpkin Glow-in-the-Dark in glitter light green/yellow, Different Dimension Light It Up Blue,  Different Dimension Spectral Tiger, Different Dimension Ectoplasm, and Hot Topic Skull Glow-in-the-Dark Green.
The clear winner of the brightest glower is Different Dimension Spectral Tiger.
The clear loser is Hot Topic Skull Glow-in-the-Dark Green.
Do these translate on the nails the same way? No, in my swatches, they do not glow quite as much as they do in the bottle. I will post some swatches tomorrow of a couple to show you my results.

I received some nail mail and bought a handful of polishes
 last night and today.
Top Row L to R; Pumpkin Glow-in-the-Dark in glitter light green/yellow, Pumpkin Blue/Purple Glitter ($2.99 each at Rite Aid), Finger Paints Asylum (Blog sale http://mommydoeshernails.blogspot.com/p/blog-sale.html), Essense Where is the Party mini (gift from blog sale, thank you Candice) and Nfu Oh Aqua Base from another blog sale.
Center item is a Halloween duo I bought at CVS called Phantom Frights.
Bottom row was a sale at Walgreens. All The Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure were on sale for $1.89 each, regular $7.49 each. So, I nabbed some basics...
Cafe Au Lait, Naked Ambition, Midnight in NY, Black Platinum

Day 29- Inspired by Supernatural

Day 29
Inspired by Supernatural
Different Dimension
Ectoplasm
Hello! This is a glow in the dark polish. I wasn't able to get any good pictures of it glowing though. I will try to get some tomorrow when the sun comes up. But, I thought the name was fitting for the challenge name.
Ectoplasm is said to be formed by physical mediums when in a trance state. This material is excreted as a gauze-like substance from orifices on the medium's body and spiritual entities are said to drape this substance over their nonphysical body, enabling them to interact in the physical and real universe. According to mediums, the ectoplasm can not occur in light conditions as the ectoplasmic substance would disintegrate.-Wikipedia

I started with 1 coat of Sinful Colors Slate, a nice grey color. I didn't put more to make it opaque because I didn't want to wait 3 hours for all the layers to dry, even with fast dry top coat. Then I added 2 coats of Ectoplasm.

Day 23- Inspired by a Movie (Mean Girls)-LOTD

Day 23
Inspired by a movie
Movie-Mean Girls
Sorry forgot to post this yesterday!
Karen: I can't go out. [faux coughs softly] I'm sick.
Regina: Boo, you whore!

I wore 1 coat of black and then 1 thick coat of
 Different Dimension-Boo, You Whore!
Then I topped it with Out the Door fast dry top coat.

Below is my outfit from Saturday night.
We went to the concert and had a blast.
I tried to new Urban Decay Vice Palette out.
I am not sure I like the new formula compared to the last one.
They aren't as creamy.
But, it worked. I just has a harder time blending.
I wore a shirt from the Body Shop, Express jeans, and Jessica Simpson shoes.

And this is me and my hubby before we went into the concert.
My husband is wearing Marc Anthony.

Day 22-Inspired By a Song-LOTD-Mail

Day 22
Inspired by a Song

Hey! Today's manicure is inspired by a song.
Tonight I am going to a friend's concert. His name is Rowdy B. There are a lot of things going on tonight. But, since we are trying to support his career, we are going to his concert. I picked on of his songs, High Life. I was in this video, so I thought it was fitting. I will post pictures of tonight for you guys tomorrow. You can see where my thumb is healing.

Last night we went to our friend Isa's birthday dinner. Here are some pictures from that. You can also see how I was inspired to do my nails...I had on a dress I bought from www.GreatGlam.com. I love to shop from that website. Good selection, true sizes, fast delivery and nice service. My shoes are my favorite brand, Jessica Simpson. My jewelry is from my store. The girl with the long black hair next to me in the pictures is the birthday girl, Isa. She doesn't look 36, does she?

Today's mail!
The Vice palette. I am going to try it out tonight for the concert. I also got a back up mascara and and a lipstick in Pistol color.

Blue Christmas, Light it Up Blue (Glow in the Dark), Spectral Tiger (Glow in the Dark), Fight Like a Girl, Ectoplasm (Glow in the Dark)
