Hey! I wanted to wear one of my many un-tried polishes.
Here is Glitter Gal 3D Silver holo.
I did my right hand in just the Silver Holo.
And I noticed it looks sort of dingy on me.
Like a nude holographic polish, not a silver holographic.
So, I looked up swatches and found Rebecca Likes Nails' post.
I saw that it looked similar on her and that she also tried it over other colors.
Obviously, I decided to try it as well.
I liked Silver Holo over the other colors better than it on its own.
I put a bunch of pictures below of my attempts.
I think they looks similar to some of the indie holos that are being
way over charged in the sales' groups.
I did try another silver holographic top coat to see if it worked better than
this Glitter Gal, and it did. Hits Specilita Hefesto is a better top coat.
It goes on thinner and more even. Its meant to be a top coat, so that makes sense :)
Below is in the direct sunlight.
My thumb nail is Pure Ice French Kiss.
Below is in my car, indirect sunlight.
Below is Glitter Gal 3D Silver Holo in 3 coats
and accents of a blurple franken I made.
And below in direct sunlight.
You can see how it looks like a nude color, not silver.
And below is with flash,
right after I painted it and realized I did not like it alone.
And below are a couple more of my testers.
I tried Sally Hansen Calypso Blue with 1 coat of GG 3D Silver Holo.
This is a pretty combination as well.
And below is one coat of Hits Hefesto over
Lavender= China Glaze Tart-y For the Party
Pink= China Glaze Dance Baby
I really like the lavender one :)
Thanks for stopping by!
