Wet n Wild Shimmer the Night Away

Wet n Wild Shimmer the Night Away

Hello again :)
I am showing another RAOK I received over the winter holidays.
I was sent this palette and another Wet n Wild one.
I usually wear Urban Decay, so I am spoiled with creaminess of the shadows.
With that said, I wasn't that disappointed with WnW eye shadows.
They are not the quality of the high end,
but worth every penny of the drugstore brand.
You can purchase these anywhere Wet n Wild is sold.

Thanks for stopping by!

Glitzology Cupid's Arrow

Glitzology Cupid's Arrow (1 coat dabbed on)
over
Wet and Wild Tickled Pink (2 coats)
Geleous (2 coats)
Top coat (1 coat)

Hey! Quick manicure in the spirit of
 Valentine's Day and Pink Wednesdays.
I wasn't crazy about the end result.
But, it was cute enough to wear for the day :)

Glitzology describes this polish...
"This polish is inspired by one of my favorite holidays. Valentine's Day! Even though I was inspired by Valentine's Day, doesn't mean you can't wear this gorgeous color year round! It features a mix of pink and magenta glitters, with pale pink satin hexes, red squares and hexes, magenta shreds, and pink and pale pink hearts!"

Thanks for stopping by!

I just broke my pointer finger nail, excuse the nub.

Close up shot.
See all the pretty glitters?!

Fantasy Makers Once Upon a Time/ LOTD

Hey again. Here is another Fantasy Makers made by Wet n Wild Once Upon a Time. Black jelly base polish with small and medium red glitters. I wore it over 2 coats of black. 2 coats of Once Upon a Time. 1 coat of top coat. We have seen this combination before in Spoiled-Ants in My Pants, Wet n Wild-Behind Closed Doors, and Deborah Lippman- Red Ruby Slippers. I love this polish and am very glad I have it. It retails for $2.99 and is sold where the Halloween Wet n Wild displays are. I have seen them in drugstores and grocery stores. The glitter ratio is great, not too much, but just enough where I don't have to fish for them. See my pictures below :)

And my LOTD.
No foundation or powder. Just eyes and lips.
My eyes are Milani Shadow Eyez in Green Safari
and Urban Decay Blitz (gold shimmer).
(I am wearing a green t-shirt with yellow lettering.)
My lips are a Lancome lipstick that I do not know the name to, sorry!

Fantasy Makers Black Magic

Hello! I wanted to share with you a Fantasy Makers polish made by Wet n Wild called Black Magic. It was released last year for the Halloween season and retails for about $2.99. Black Magic is a clear base with short thin bar glitters in aqua blue, yellow, hot pink, orange, green, and red. Usually I don't like bar glitters. But, when they are short like this I don't mind. When I was deciding what to put as underwear for this polish I tried 5 different colors, purple, green, white, blue and black. Black looked the best and matched the name of the polish 'Black Magic'. I used 2 coats of Sinful colors Black. After that was dry I put some round stickers on the top parts near my cuticles to give the half moon manicure look and painted 2 coats of Black Magic. When all that was dry it looked like it was missing something, so I added some star stickers to finish the "magic" look. 2 coats of top coat again to seal the stickers down.

And this was my nail mail waiting for me when I got home!
Hit Polish has sooooo many glitter polishes. She ships very quickly and the items are packaged safely and pretty. I was very happy with my purchase. I even had a custom polish made named "Leilani" after my daughter :)
I highly recommend this indie polish maker.
I hope to show you some swatches soon.

Lush Lacquer- Peace-Luv-Polish

Lush Lacquer
Peace-Luv-Polish
I figured I needed to actually wear pink on Wednesday to have the  badge on my blog, lol. So, here is an untried for you :)
I couldn't decide on which underwear to put on. I picked 2 pinks.
Wet n Wild Tickled Pink is a pale pink that is opaque is 2-3 coats (shown with 2 coats in the picture)
Then the middle and pinkie finger have 1 coat of Color Club Peppermint Twist. Weird name to me for this color, but great formula and color.
I added 1 coat of Lush Lacquer Peace-Luv-Polish.
I did not put top coat.

Below is my mail that was waiting for me when I got home.

(Top left)The Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses in 9 colors.

(Top right)Del Sol Trick or Trick,
color changing polish that goes from orange to black!
Click here to see a review on Del Sol Trick or Treat. That review made me hunt this polish down, lol.

(Bottom Left) Nicole by OPI glitter polishes from Holiday 2011, My Sleigh's in the Shop (fuchsia) and Snowman of my Dreams (blue). Glitter bombs, my fav!

(Bottom right) Man Glaze polishes. Matte polishes with really cool labels.
Matte is Murder (black), Mayonnaise (off white), and Royal Matterimoaning (dark blue)

My shopping trip that I couldn't find the Color Club Halo Hues.
But, I found some Orlys I have been wanting!
The Mineral FX collection from fall 2011
and some from the Cosmix fx collection
And the gold shimmer polish by Orly is from the 2010 Holiday collection
called Glitz & Glamour. It is REALLY pretty!

I also found a couple of black label OPIs and OPI Purple with a purpose.

Here are some more I bought below.

Halloween Challenge- Halloween Pumpkin

Halloween Pumpkin
Hello! I decided to do two challenges since this is my favorite month of the year AND its not everyday. Here is the first of the challenge, Halloween Pumpkin nails. I started with my base coat of Orly Nail Defense, 1 coat of Elmer's school glue. Let that dry. Then I put 1 coat of Ruby Kisses Peach on Fire. I noticed when I use the glue technique for glitter polishes, it works better if I have a 1 coat of a solid color (non glitter) in the peeling off process. So, after that has all dried I added 2 coats of OPI Bring on the Bling and 1 coat of Out the Door fast dry top coat. I waited about 20 minutes to make sure that was good and dry. For one thing, if you add stickers to a slight  wet nail polish, it will be a mess. The sticker will look like it has sunk in, you can't move it without messing up your manicure, it will take 5 times longer to dry. Basically, don't add the stickers/decals until its good and dry. After all that I added 2 more coats of fast dry top coat to help the stickers stay on longer and give it a smooth feeling.

Below is a picture of it blurry to show how blingy the polish is.

Below is a picture with flash to show the details of the stickers.
I bought these stickers off of eBay for cheap.

I also went back to Spirit Halloween to pick up a couple of the Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers nail polish that my daughter lost. It hurt me to buy them again, when I just bought them a couple of weeks ago...but, I didn't want to go without them! On the left is Once Upon a Time and on the right is last year's Black Magic.
I will be sure to wear these soon :)

Day 14- Flowers-LOTD-Weight

Day 14
Flowers
I started with WnW Caribean Frost topped
with NYC Scandalous Blue Glitter (wasn't needed).
Then I put 1 stripe of Maybelline Amethyst Ablaze (This was a gift from Jen at  Exotic Lacquer). Very nice polish, worth the buy. To give it some sparkle I added Milani Diamond Dazzle. Then I put the nail stickers on. They are just as they are named...stickers. Super easy to put on. Just peel off, being careful not to touch too much of the sticky backing, then place on nail. Add 2 coats of top coat and you're done! I had a little excess on 2 of the nails.
I used nail clippers to trim the excess.
I love nail stickers! They are the quick way to get some nail art on without the stress. These had little rhinestone incorporated in the design. I bought a bunch from Ebay from various Chinese sellers. Low prices, Free shipping...not a bad deal :) Waiting 2-3 weeks for shipment to arrive is the only drawback. However, for me it isn't really a drawback. I have so many untrieds as it is, lol.

Here is my LOTD.
It was a quick get dressed kind of morning. Usually I carpool with my husband to work. But, he had the day off. So, I didn't get the usual time in the car to put on my make up.

I wore my new Hello Kitty shirt.
So, that's what inspired my eyeshadow, as usual. Lol.
I used Urban Decay shadows from the 15th anniversary palette. Tainted (light pink/pale purple), Junkshow (hot pink), and Omen (purple with b
lue shift) with Midnight 15 (pearl color with silver shimmer) as the highlight.
Loreal liquid eyeliner and Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara. I used a Maybelline lip stain in a purple shade. It does not look good on me. I tried to lighten it with a bubble gum gloss, but it didn't help. This shade kind of makes me look dead. I was going to dress up a little more today. But, we are going to the fair after work. So, jeans, t-shirt and flip flops it was :)

DAY 19-43 days until the Halloween party
As you can probably tell, I haven't been as diligent with the diet and working out as I was. But, I have been good in the eating department.
I weighed in this morning.
Here are the results...
I have lost an even 8 pounds in 19 days. I am also fitting in my clothes better.
Not where I want to be, but a lot closer :)
I still have 10 pounds until I am satisfied. 15 would be great, but probably not in my near future.

Thanks for reading!

LOTD-Pink

Hello! Happy hump day :)
I had yesterday off so I am refreshed!
Fall is in the air here in Atlanta...well it was 63 degrees,
so that's cool for us, lol.
I felt like wearing pink today and this is part of my look :)
My favorite cap that I bought in Florida on vacation, my shoes I bought on clearance at Payless last year for $5 and of course my Urban Decay shadows light pink (SWF) shimmery beige (Midnight Cowboy) hot pink (Junkshow). Loreal liquid eyeliner, Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara, Stila matte fuchsia lips with elf lip gloss. No foundation or powder. NYX blush.

When I woke up yesterday, I went to the doctor and she looked at my thumb. But, when I went to the pharmacy to pick up my medicine later that afternoon for the infection, there wasn't a prescription for me. I called my doctor's office dozens of times and went through all the options trying to talk to a real person and not an automated recording. No one answered and there wasn't even an option to leave a message. I called all the CVSs in my area to see if she sent the prescription to the wrong location, but none of them had something for me. My arm and hand are now aching and this is starting to scare me. I really just want to take my medicine and be done with it. My doctor's office is about 50 minutes from my work, so this is really a headache to try and get a hold someone there. My only option is to drive there. I cannot afford to take another day off, you know? Well, that is my only compliant.

After going to the doctor's I went to Wendy's restaurant to see if my nail polishes I bought on Sunday were still there. My daughter was holding the bag and left it on the counter :*(
These were the RIP Wet n Wild colors I bought....
I went back after 2 days and as expected, there wasn't a bag turned in :(
That bummed me out, so I decided to go to Target to do some shopping.
I love Target. I bought 3 pairs of shoes (I will post a pic of them later on, I LOVE each one of them)
and a few shirts, make up brushes (they have elf ones for $1!) some elf blushes (only $3!) and a crock pot.
After spending way too much money, I went home and took a nap.
Who doesn't love naps? lol.
Today I am drinking coffee out of my new favorite cup. Here is a pic of it when I was in Wal-mart.

It holds hot and cold drinks.

Today's challenge for nails is stripes.
Last night I attempted my manicure and messed up part of it. When I get home I am going to redo all of it.

Diet & Exercise
I am supposed to go after work to the gym.
I am eating a very low calorie diet to make up for not working out.
I weigh the same.

I will add more after work...

Day 10-Gradient Nails/ LOTD / Weight

DAY 10-Gradient
I used some $1 neons I bought at a nail supply over white nail polish. I used a make up sponge to apply the gradient style design.
I topped it with Lush Lacquer-Salt n Peppa and Sonama-My Three Glitters.
I like the way it turned out even though my middle finger nail broke. I kind of wished I wore more neons now over the summer. Haha, fall comes and I finally wear it. Oh well, its not like I cannot wear it whenever I feel the need.

So, my thumb is looking about the same. However, the swelling is going down. I am not sure if I will still go to the doctor now since it looks like it is healing. Here is a picture of it from day 1 to day 3 (today).

I still have no idea what happened.
Anyway, on to the make up LOTD
Urban Decay eyeshadows Chase, Evidence and highlight of Vanilla. MIA for my eyebrows. Maybelline lip stain and Loreal eye liner and mascara. As usual I match my shirt, lol. Loving the cool weather!

So, the diet thing was a bust over the weekend....again. Blah. But, it seems for me the week I am a good girl. Just a bad girl over the weekend.
