Colors by Llarowe Sparkles are a Girls Best Friend

Hey there!
I forgot to post my Valentine's Day manicure.
I took this picture before clean up, so please excuse the messiness.
Anywho, as stated, the beautiful holographic polish
is Colors by Llarowe Sparkles are a Girls Best Friend.
SAGBF is a saturated hot pink color an.
The formula is spot on and stay time is good.
I used Essie Blanc for the 3 center fingers
and added stickers and decals that
had hot pink accents after that was good and dry.
I added 2-3 coats of top coat to make the stickers and decals smooth.
I loved wearing this!
Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Nails, Again!

Hey there!

Here are some more Christmas nails with stickers.
This time I used Milani Red Glitter, Orly Here Comes Trouble (green glitter),
and OPI Sky Slope Sweetie (white gold).

After all that was dry, some top coat and an extra coat on the glitters.
I added some stickers from eBay and a couple more coats of top coat.

I really like OPI Sky Slope Sweetie by the way!
It was opaque white in 2 coats with a wonderful gold shimmer.
I recommend adding it to your collection if you
are like me and love good polishes.

Nothing really wow about my completed manicure.
But, it was cute enough for my son's Christmas party at school :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Isn't he adorable?!
They made a couple of crafts and that was about it for the Christmas Party! lol

Christmas Nails

Hey there!
I hope your week is going well.
Mine has been awesome.
I attended a Winter White Party on Monday with
my husband and friends that was in support of cancer research.
It is always fun to party and help a good cause.
Anywho, here is a quick manicure I did using a few different polishes
and adding some Christmas stickers I bought from eBay
that came from China.
I hope to show you more Christmas manicures before
the big day.
Thanks for stopping by!

31DC2013 -Day 3- Yellow- Sugar Skull

Hey again!
Day 3- Yellow Nails
I put a white base, although I did not need one.
This is Hard Candy Shot of Lemon, 2 Coats.
Shot of Lemon is a Glass Fleck lemon yellow color.
Great formula and fun color.
Then I put 1 dabbed on coat of Hit Polish Toucan
on all the nails but the middle.
On the middle I put a circle the size of my decal of white polish.
The reason is because the decal does not show up well
without a white background.
When that was good and dry I added a decal I bought
from RLR Creations. Before I was able to take pictures,
the decal started to peel off (after I showered).
This is partly because I did not put 2 coats of top coat.
So, I layered another decal on top. If you look closely you can tell.
This time I did put 2 coats of top coat over the decal.
Not my favorite manicure, but it'll do :)

I did another look with my beloved
Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette.
This time I used the browns to create a neutral smokey eye look.
Mad Hatter, Midnight Tea Party, White Rabbit and Wonderland.

My lips are Maybelline Cool Coral.

My cheeks are Wet n Wild Pearlescent Pink (my fav blush)

Thanks for stopping by!

31DC2013 Day 2: Orange Nails-Miami Dolphins

Hey!
Sorry for my absence.
I have been doing my nails each day of the challenge.
I just didn't have to chance to post about it.
I appreciate you coming back ;)

Here is Day 2, Orange nails.
I decided to do a manicure in honor of my sweet husband's favorite
team, the Miami Dolphins.
I started with Hits Speciallita Quemada, 3 thin coats.
Which is a Brazillian glass fleck orange polish that is similar to
Color Club Sparkle and Soar that was released
in the Take Wing 2012 collection.

After that was dry, I added 1 dabbed on coat of Hit Polish Dolphins
on the shown fingernails.
I then put 2 white ovals on the two remaining nails.
After that was good and dry (2 hours later)
I added the 2 special order decals I received from RLR Creations.
A couple of coats of fast dry top coat and I was done.

I recently acquired my BIGGEST make up lemming
Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette
that was released January 2010.
This is my first look that I did within hours of receiving it.
I blended 3 colors...
Curiouser, White Rabbit, and Queen

My lips are a tinted Burt's Bee lip balm.
Thanks for stopping by!

Fingrs Nail Stickers Zebra

Hey there!
I found some closeout nail stickers at a local grocery store.
They were about $2.20-$2.80 each.
I posted a picture below of all the stickers I bought.
I was not about to pass this up.
I tried the cheapest one first.
I was going on a business trip for a week and needed
a no hassle manicure for as long as possible.
First I made sure my nails were clean and then
put 1 coat of Duri Rejuvacote, then 1 coat Orly Bonder
and then added the stickers according to size.
Very simple.
After the stickers were on, I added 2 layers of
fast dry top coat and wrapped the tips.
I think the fact that I wrapped the tips ensured the
longevity of the manicure. Every other day while I was out
of town, I would add a coat of fast dry top coat and wrap the tips.
This manicure lasted 5 days. It could have lasted 2 more days,
but I was sick of the same manicure.
There was no damage to my nails under the stickers.

Also, I still have enough stickers to do another full manicure.
So, this means I got a 5 day manicure for $1.10!
Mommy like ;)

Island Girl Neons

Hey! I hope your weekend was good.
Mine went by pretty darn quick, as usual. :)
We saw Monster's University with the kids.
Very cute enjoyable movie.

I have some mini bottles of Island Girl neons to show you.
I received this as a gift from a sweet Facebook friend from Colorado.
She bought these for me while she was on a vacation trip to Las Vegas.

Super sweet of her!
Island Girl polishes are only available in Las Vegas and Hawaii in stores.
They are also available online at ABCSTORES (click)
I went on my honeymoon back in August 2000
to the wonderful big island of Hawaii.
I fell in love with the culture of the people and the island itself.
Since then, anything Hawaiian related I have been drawn to.
I named my daughter (who is 8 years old now) Leilani.
Leilani is a Hawaiian name that means heavenly or royal child of heaven.

So, when I saw this brand of polish, I knew I had to try and get some.

None of these mini bottles have a name labeled on them.
The formulas were typical of neons.
I did not put a base coat of white, so this is them all alone.
The blue and pink is 2 coats.
The green, orange and yellow are 3 coats.
I added these cute nail stickers I found at Walmart for $2.
Really good price for great stickers.
Then 1 coat of HK Girl top coat.

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze High Def

Hello!
Here is a really pretty blue polish from China Glaze.
China Glaze High Def was released in the Spring 2011 Tronica collection.

I purchased mine from another polish lover here in Atlanta.
I also snagged "Gamer Glam" from her.
I hope to post that soon.

I am showing High Def here with 2 coats that went on easily.

When you know its not going to be a linear holo before you start,
you go into it just accepting whatever the result is.
And this result is really pretty.
The scattered holographic effect is easily shown.

I put an accent nail of Urban Outfitter Silver Holo.
2 coats of that as well.
After that was dry I added a nail sticker.
Then I topped it all off with 1 coat of top coat.

Thanks for stopping by!

Day 5- Fancy Nails-Hello Kitty

Day 5- Fancy Nails

Hey again!
I decided to make my nails look girly/fancy this time.
My pointer and ring finger have 2 coats of Orly Preamp.
Middle finger is 3 coats of Shimmer Stephanie.
Pinkie is 3 coats of Girly Bits Razzle Dazzle.
Thumb is 3 coats of Wet n Wild Glitz.
(Each polish is very lovely in color)
I let that completely dry then added some nail stickers.
Pressed them down really hard.
Added 1 coat of top coat and viola!
A manicure any 5-12 year old girl would love, haha.
I know its not a mature "fancy nails" manicure.
But, I'm a kid at heart and this is what I like :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Nabi Navy Blue Hologram

Hey!
Look at this beautiful blue color!
This is from the brand I have shown to you before, Nabi.
Its a cheap brand that can be found on eBay.
This is 2 coats of Nabi Navy Blue. (which is not navy blue in color btw)
The accent nail is 2 coats of Urban Outfitters Silver Holo.
I added a nail sticker to bring it all together.
I then added 1 coat of HK Girl top coat.
I did not use a base coat right before.
I had Duri Rejuvacote on the day before.
This may have effected it.
But, I had chipping after the first day.
I did wash my hair, which tends to test my polish, lol.
Bummer.
You can see on my pointer finger where I tried to dab on a
bit of polish to cover up that chip.

Thanks for stopping by!

Purple Mani with Glitter and Butterflies

Catrice Dirty Berry (Pinkie, Ring & Thumb)
Maybelline Lavender Sparks (Middle)
Color Club Eternal Beauty (Index)
Glitter accents with Mardi Gras multi color

Hey! I received Catrice Dirty Berry as a birthday gift.
I wore it the same day.
I believe the below picture is 2 coats.
Dirty Berry is a blue tinted dingy lavender with hints of holo...I hate to use that word.
But, it is a dirty lavender, lol.
I also purchased a multi colored glitter from Rite Aid I wanted to try.
So, I decided to add some glitter and stickers.
The last picture was what I started with.
The next day I cleaned out the garage and washed my car.
2 nails got chipped. Instead of removing each nail.
I just replaced the pointer and middle finger with the above polishes.
I like the end result the best.
Maybelline Lavender Sparks is an awesome light purple glitter polish.
I highly recommend it.
It goes on great in 2 coats and doesn't dry grainy.
So pretty!
I do not have to tell how awesome Color Club Eternal Beauty is.

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Love's a Beach

China Glaze Love's a Beach (2 coats)
with
China Glaze Glistening Snow (1 coat) accents
with
Hello Kitty nail sticker

Hello, I hope your Valentine's Day went well. Mine was wonderful.
My husband let me have the day off (we work together).
I went shopping to buy some clothes for my upcoming vacation
to Dominican Republic next week.
It's great to shop without anyone rushing you.
Usually I have my kids complaining and I can't take my time.
And then in the evening we had a lovely dinner with family.

Anyway! Back to the nails.
This is another polish I received from my Secret Cupid swap.
As with most neon colors, its hard to correctly photograph the color.
Take my word is a neon pink with a orange tint to it.
The color reminds me of the neon craze back in the 90s when I was a kid.

Here is a more accurate color for this neon polish.

This was my look for my Valentine's dinner with my family.
It was a lovely dinner with 11 members of my family.
I used a curling wand to achieve the curls.
I kept my make up pretty plain since my lips were so bright.
I wore Urban Decay Adrenaline super saturated lip stain.

China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes

China Glaze Hang Ten Toes (3 coats)
with
China Glaze Glistening Snow accent (2 coats)
with
Nail Decal Lips
Top Coat

Hey!
Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope today and everyday are full of love and cuddles :)
I am wearing these 2 polishes because
I received them from my Secret Cupid Swap.
It's hard to capture the neon color correctly in the pictures.
I love neon nail polishes.
I posted a video of me opening my Secret Cupid swap from Raquel below.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Sally Hansen Save the Date with Bows!

Sally Hansen Save the Date (2 coats)
 with
Bow stickers
Top coat

Hey there! Quick and easy manicure that is girly.
Save the Date is a dark wine burgundy color
with shimmers of fuchsia and purple.
You can see those shimmers in the picture below.
Lovely color, application was easy and 2 coats
went on easily and dried fast.
No staining what so ever and after 3 days
I did have some small chipping on 2 fingers.
I am very pleased with this polish.

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out with Ariel

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out (4 coats)
Nail decal of Ariel.

Hello! This was my very first holographic polish that I bought.
It is so pretty!
These pictures do not do it justice.
It sparkles in the house and outside.
The formula is really watery, so it takes at least 4 coats for full coverage.
I found this beauty at an old beauty supply last year.
Needless to say I cleaned them out, lol.
China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out was discontinued in 2009.
It is a scattered light blue holographic polish with
larger pieces than most holo polishes.
An easier to find substitute would be Milani Cyberspace
I do have a post on that if you click that link you can see it.
At the bottom I put a few swatches of what I wore over the weekend.

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out, 4 coats.
 Sorry for the overexposed picture!

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out, 4 coats.

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out in the direct sunlight.

Bottle shots of China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out.

So, I painted me nails a bunch of times this weekend because they kept chipping.
I was cleaning out the garage and cleaning the house and did not wear gloves.
Oopsy :)

Here is another manicure I wore over the weekend,
Ninja Polish Sexy and I Know It (3 coats)
with
Geleous and Top coat.
Here is another manicure I wore over the weekend,
Assorted colors with
Sonoma Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (1 coat dabbed on)
This was a pain to dab on btw.

Here is another manicure I wore over the weekend,
Pretty & Polished Pinkie Pie (1 coat)
over
OPI If You Moust You Moust
Loved Pinkie Pie's formula.

Here is another manicure I wore over the weekend,
OPI Show It and Glow It (3 coats)

Really Sparkly in real life!
