Glitzology Starry Night

Hey!  After wearing Kiko 401, I wanted to add some glitter on top.
I like to add polish on top of an old manicure
because it is easier and gives me a direction to go
in with my next manicure. I have so many untried polishes,
I usually sit there staring at the lot of them not knowing what to wear.
I picked Glitzology Starry Night (obviously, lol)
I own a few polishes that look similar to Starry Night.
The closest would be Girly Bits Smurf Dance.
If you have Smurf Dance, you probably don't need this polish.
But, if you don't. This is an alternative.
Smurf Dance has white glitters, where Starry Night has silver glitters.

Starry Night is a glitter bomb polish that can be worn as a top coat
or worn alone in 3 coats.
I wore 2 thin coats over Starry Night over Kiko 401.
Starry Night is in a clear base with micro silver glitter,
small cerulean blue glitters, and silver holographic glitters in star,
diamond, hexagon and square glitters.
The formula for Starry Night wasn't as thick
as the other polishes I own by this company.
You can see below the holographic glitters when I blurred the picture.
Tons of different shaped and sized glitters inside.

I liked how the polish looked in the shade more than when it was in the sun.
As you can see below, the lighter base color does not compliment the blue glitters in Starry Night.

Below I tried Starry Night over LA Girl Brillant Blue (Deep Blue color)
I think it looks MUCH better over a dark blue.
The dark blue base allows the cerulean blue glitters to add depth
and gives the illusion of a "Starry Night".

In conclusion, if you do get this polish,
I suggest trying it over a dark blue than the glitters are in the polish.
Glitzology is currently on vacation due to her back injury.
She isn't exactly sure when she will return.
But, you can favorite her store and request an email notifcation for her reopening.

Thanks for stopping by!

Glitzology All or Nothing & Rhinestone Jumpsuit

Hey there.
Here are some swatches of Glitzology
All or Nothing
and
 Rhinestone Jumpsuit.

As usual, Glitzology polishes are packed full of glitter.
The formula is thick, but workable.
The owner of Glitzology has temporarily closed her etsy store due to a back injury.
But, she should be back soon.
Here is what she said about these polishes...

"I made this polish for my younger sister, Amy. She is the definition of an "all or nothing" type of person. Even when I asked her what she wanted her polish to look like, she said "Either really conservative and elegant or totally wild and crazy!" I obviously picked wild and crazy, haha!
This polish features fuchsia, silver, and teal holo glitter, with tons of fuchsia, teal, purple glitter in a variety of shapes and sizes! This has been one of my favorite colors lately because it works so well as a layering polish over so many colors!"

"Rhinestone Jumpsuit is inspired by my love of Elvis!
This polish is made of a gold shimmer base, with fuschia, bright blue, gold, red, and orange glitters in a variety of shapes including dots, squares, and hexes."

I layered both over Sally Hansen Black Platinum,
a dark grey shimmer color that required 3 coats for full coverage.

Thanks for stopping by!

Glitzology Bad Things

Glitzology Bad Things (1 coat dabbed on)
over
Pebble Beach Ruby Step 4 (1 coat)
Geleous (1 coat)
Top coat (1 coat)

Hey! Here is an awesome indie polish for you to see.
I love this combination.
I started with Pebble Beach Ruby Step 4, just 1 coat.
Then I put 1 dabbed on coat of Glitzology Bad Things.
Then I added Geleous and fast dry top coat.
Super vampy and pretty.

Glitzology describes Bad Things...
"Bad Things was inspired by my love for the show True Blood! It features a very deep red/burgundy jelly base with silver holo glitter and squares, black matte glitter, and red hearts, hexes, and shreds. "

What do you think?

Glitzology Cupid's Arrow

Glitzology Cupid's Arrow (1 coat dabbed on)
over
Wet and Wild Tickled Pink (2 coats)
Geleous (2 coats)
Top coat (1 coat)

Hey! Quick manicure in the spirit of
 Valentine's Day and Pink Wednesdays.
I wasn't crazy about the end result.
But, it was cute enough to wear for the day :)

Glitzology describes this polish...
"This polish is inspired by one of my favorite holidays. Valentine's Day! Even though I was inspired by Valentine's Day, doesn't mean you can't wear this gorgeous color year round! It features a mix of pink and magenta glitters, with pale pink satin hexes, red squares and hexes, magenta shreds, and pink and pale pink hearts!"

Thanks for stopping by!

I just broke my pointer finger nail, excuse the nub.

Close up shot.
See all the pretty glitters?!

Glitzology Disco Barbie

Glitzology Disco Barbie (1 coat)
over
China Glaze Purple Panic Neon (2 coats)
with
Top coat (1 coat)

Hey, here is a BRIGHT manicure for you to see.
I really like China Glaze Purple Panic Neon and wanted to wear it right away.
I just bought it at the nail supply
and wanted to top it with a glitter polish I haven't tried yet.
I thought Glitzology Disco Barbie would be perfect.
I will be honest.
The formula on Disco Barbie is thick
and it was a little hard to get the diamond and heart glitters out.
Not my favorite from Glitzology.
I did get it for a great price, $5.
What do you think?

 Thanks for reading!

Glitzology The Great Pumpkin

Glitzology The Great Pumpkin (1 thick coat)
over
 Sinful Colors Nirvana (2 coats)

Another Glitzology, lol.
Major glitter bomb.
I snagged this polish when she had a closeout on her
Halloween polishes for $3.75.
I started with Sinful Colors Nirvana.
It said it was Matte...but was not. Boo!
But, its a great mocha color and not bad for less than a dollar.
Walgreen drugstore periodically has Sinful Colors for $0.99.
When they do, I buy a lot, lol.
I only put 1 coat of top coat.
It need probably 2 coats of Gelous and 1 coat of top coat.

Thanks for reading!
I hope you had a safe Black Friday :)

Jesse's Girl Confetti / Glitzology Pixie Dust

This is a picture heavy post.
This was my polish process, enjoy!

Jesse's Girl Confetti (2 coat)
with added
Spectraflair 14 (1 dash)
over
Color Club Pucci-Licious (2 coats)

I read somewhere that adding Spectraflair to Jesse's Girl Confetti made it awesome.
Adding the Spectraflair was the biggest headache. I added 1 small sized scoop, the size of a straw tip.
I didn't have the right tools to scoop up the holographic powder.
I made a mess and probably wasted more of the
stuff then added to the polish.
I should've added a few drops of nail polish thinner afterwards.
It was a little too thick. I love the end result though.
You can buy Jesse's Girl Confetti at Rite Aide drug stores for $3.99 a bottle.
Jesse's Girl Confetti is a sheer blue/purple duo chrome much like Sally Hansen DVD. Definitely a layering polish. I bet putting it over black would make it pop. But, I was digging the purple/blue tones.
It was so pretty I didn't want to take it off!

 Please view the pictures below.

Afterwards I saw my Glitzology bottle of Pixie Dust
 sitting there looking all pretty.
So, it got added on.
I did this manicure twice.
Once at night and then an hour later washed my hair.
When I got out I saw  that part of the manicure was sliding off!
The top of the polish was dry, just underneath wasn't. I had to redo it the next day and had issues again with the dry time. I don't know what the issue was exactly.
I am thinking it's just too many layers.
The end result is lovely, but I just couldn't get it to stay.
Next time I will just cut the Jesse's Girl Confetti out.

Glitzology Pixie Dust (1 coat)
over
Jesse's Girl Confetti (2 coat)
with added
Spectraflair 14 (1 dash)
over
Color Club Pucci-Licious (2 coats)

Ms. Stacy's description of the polish...
"When I was little, l loved anything to do with fairies or pixies. This color reminds me of my childhood! This polish features lilac glitter, pink and lilac opalescent shimmer mica, satin lilac hexes, and lot of iridescent purple to blue squares and shreds."

Glitzology My Viking Boyfriend

Glitzology My Viking Boyfriend
 (1 coat)
over
Sinful Colors Blue By You
(2 coats but 1 would have been fine)

Wow! This is one gorgeous manicure in my book.
This combination really compliments each other.
Sinful Colors Blue by You is a excellent polish that was nearly a 1 coater.
A pretty blue with tons of shimmer.
I found this beauty at Wal-mart.
My husband commented on how this was his favorite manicure I have ever done!
It is his favorite color, so he is biased.
But, I have to admit, it is on the top of my list as well.
My Viking Boyfriend is on the thick side. A little goes a long way.

My Viking Boyfriend is described by Ms. Stacy...
"I made this polish in honor of my awesome boyfriend who is convinced that he is a Viking (he's not, but I just go along with it). This polish is made up of blue and silver holo glitters, dark blue hexes, and holo silver squares and hexes."

Glitzology polishes are easily becoming my favorite indie polishes.
Fantastic customer service, prices, shipping time and of course the polishes are lovely.
She is having $5 on full size polishes until Black Friday.

Enjoy the pictures below :)

Glitzology Guardian Angel

Glitzology Guardian Angel
over
Sally Hansen Naked Ambition

Hey there! Here is my second tried Glitzology.

This is what she wrote about the polish...

"This polish was inspired by my mother, who passed away from breast cancer in January of 2011. She was my best friend and my hero. I consider myself truly blessed to have had such an amazing, loving woman for a mother. I made this polish with light feminine colors that I know she would like.
I added white, and iridescent pink glitters, along with transparent gold mica for shimmer. There are also pink and pastel pink hearts, and small square, as well as pink and white satin glitters."

I tried a really pretty nude polish as the base.
I put 2 coats of Sally Hansen Naked Ambition.
This version of Naked Ambition is a sheer peach nude with silver shimmer.
I didn't think I would like it since my skin has a strong yellow undertone.
But, I did. I bought this when I got a bunch from the sale Walgreens had and they were like $2 something (regularly $7.50)
I put 2 coats, but to wear alone, this polish needs 3 to be opaque.

On to Glitzology Guardian Angel. It has a good amount of glitter. It was thick, but manageable. I put 2 coats of Guardian Angel over Naked Ambition. Then I added 2 coats of top coat. The end result is okay. I don't know what I was expecting. I didn't realize it was going to be so pale.
I think a darker pink underneath would have showcased
the beauty of all the glitter and shimmer better.
It reminds me of ballet slippers and all things girly and delicate.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures!
