31DC2013 -Day 3- Yellow- Sugar Skull

Hey again!
Day 3- Yellow Nails
I put a white base, although I did not need one.
This is Hard Candy Shot of Lemon, 2 Coats.
Shot of Lemon is a Glass Fleck lemon yellow color.
Great formula and fun color.
Then I put 1 dabbed on coat of Hit Polish Toucan
on all the nails but the middle.
On the middle I put a circle the size of my decal of white polish.
The reason is because the decal does not show up well
without a white background.
When that was good and dry I added a decal I bought
from RLR Creations. Before I was able to take pictures,
the decal started to peel off (after I showered).
This is partly because I did not put 2 coats of top coat.
So, I layered another decal on top. If you look closely you can tell.
This time I did put 2 coats of top coat over the decal.
Not my favorite manicure, but it'll do :)

I did another look with my beloved
Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette.
This time I used the browns to create a neutral smokey eye look.
Mad Hatter, Midnight Tea Party, White Rabbit and Wonderland.

My lips are Maybelline Cool Coral.

My cheeks are Wet n Wild Pearlescent Pink (my fav blush)

31DC2013 Day 2: Orange Nails-Miami Dolphins

Hey!
Sorry for my absence.
I have been doing my nails each day of the challenge.
I just didn't have to chance to post about it.
I appreciate you coming back ;)

Here is Day 2, Orange nails.
I decided to do a manicure in honor of my sweet husband's favorite
team, the Miami Dolphins.
I started with Hits Speciallita Quemada, 3 thin coats.
Which is a Brazillian glass fleck orange polish that is similar to
Color Club Sparkle and Soar that was released
in the Take Wing 2012 collection.

After that was dry, I added 1 dabbed on coat of Hit Polish Dolphins
on the shown fingernails.
I then put 2 white ovals on the two remaining nails.
After that was good and dry (2 hours later)
I added the 2 special order decals I received from RLR Creations.
A couple of coats of fast dry top coat and I was done.

I recently acquired my BIGGEST make up lemming
Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette
that was released January 2010.
This is my first look that I did within hours of receiving it.
I blended 3 colors...
Curiouser, White Rabbit, and Queen

My lips are a tinted Burt's Bee lip balm.

Hits Hera

Hello!
We had yet another day where the sun came out here in Atlanta.
I tried my Hits Hera with 2 coats with 1 coat of top coat.
After seeing this picture, I should have put a third coat.

The formula on Hera is wonderful.
It goes on smoothly and dries quickly.
Hits polishes are from Brazil.
You can purchase them online at

Mint Mani for Talia Joy

Hey there.
I am sure you have heard of the passing of Talia Joy this past Tuesday.
I came across her channel on YouTube last year when I was
searching for make up tutorials.
I loved watching her and learning from her.
She was so cute and happy in her videos.
I made sure to subscribe.
I am sad to hear of her passing, but glad she is no longer in pain.
My heart goes out to her family and friends that were
lucky enough to have her in their lives.

My nails are 2 coats of China Glaze For Audrey.
1 coat of Hit Polish Hefesto.

It is a pretty manicure like the pretty young lady it's in honor of.

Thanks for stopping by
and hugs to everyone.

Neon Skittles with Holo top coat

Hello :)
A group I am in decided to do a group manicure.
The theme is NEON.
I was really pressed for time.
This is simple contribution to NEON Friday.
I started with a white base and then added
no name Island Girl neons on top.
I always wanted to holo my neons.
So, this was a perfect opportunity to try it.
The neon green and yellow were so bright,
it was hard to see the holographic shimmer.
The orange and blue showed the pretty rainbows the best.
I used Hits Hefesto for the holo top coat btw :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Hit Polish Pixie Dust

Hit Polish Pixie Dust (2 coats)
Top Coat (3 coats)

Hey! Here is a indie polish called Pixie Dust.
I bought this in hopes of it filling my need from OPI Mad as Hatter.
Is it a dupe? No, but its close.
OPI MAAH has different sized glitters and also has purple as a main color.
Hit Polish Pixie Dust has all the same sized glitter and does not have purple.
Do I like it? At first I was a bit disappointed. But, as time went on I caught myself looking at my nails. And it grew on me.
The formula is thick, but good to cover in 2 coats.
As expected with glitter bombs, it needed 3 coats of top coat.

This is what Hit Polish has to say about Pixie Dust...

"PIXIE DUST - This is one busy polish!! there are 17 DIFFERENT glitters in this polish :) all super fine in size, I would say 3 coats will give you full coverage and 1-2 you will see your base coat through. Red, Pink, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, White, Silver, Black, Brown and several colors in between :) "

When I ordered from this store, she was very nice
and worked with me and made a custom polish which is gorgeous
and I will show you soon :)
Shipping was quick and everything was packed so nicely.
She even included a sample of her handmade soap.
Thanks for stopping by!

I matted my thumb nail here to see what it looks like.
It looks better with shiny top coat, lol.
Which my pointer finger does have.

Hits Flamenco

Hits Speciallita Flamenco (3 coats)
Top coat (1 coat)

Hey again! Here is another flakie I bought on a blog sale.
I have been eyeing this baby since a swap I did in April.
I love red and I love flakies.
But, together this reminds me of a really red tomato cut in half, lol.
Its pretty. But, the gold orange flakies take away from the jelly red.
I wonder if they had put a little blue flakies in what it would've looked like.
Anyway, the formula was great and I had absolutely no issues with chipping after 3 days.
Thanks for stopping by!

Color Club Berry and Bright / Hit Polish Sunset Beach / LOTD

Color Club Berry and Bright
Color Club Holiday 2012 Winter Affair Collection
I picked this up last week and I am very glad I did.
This gorgeous polish was opaque in 1 coat.
I did another coat before the pictures, just in case the flash showed something I did not see.
After it was dry it actually smelled like berries!
Berry and Bright is a reddish fuchsia burgundy color kind of sort of, lol.
I think of red velvet (the cloth material) when I look at my nails.
Very pretty. Its a shimmery red foil type. I took a couple pictures with my camera phone below to show its true color.

This is one coat.

Hit Polish Sunset Beach over Color Club Berry and Bright.
I added Sunset Beach, 2 coats afterwards. Easy to apply.
I then added 2 coats of top coat.
There are shredded, square and hexagon glitters in hot pink, yellow, orange, lavender and purple.
Well named.
You can buy Hit Polish on Etsy HERE.
I think she is getting ready to open back up at the end of the month for Black Friday.

Fantasy Makers Black Magic

Hello! I wanted to share with you a Fantasy Makers polish made by Wet n Wild called Black Magic. It was released last year for the Halloween season and retails for about $2.99. Black Magic is a clear base with short thin bar glitters in aqua blue, yellow, hot pink, orange, green, and red. Usually I don't like bar glitters. But, when they are short like this I don't mind. When I was deciding what to put as underwear for this polish I tried 5 different colors, purple, green, white, blue and black. Black looked the best and matched the name of the polish 'Black Magic'. I used 2 coats of Sinful colors Black. After that was dry I put some round stickers on the top parts near my cuticles to give the half moon manicure look and painted 2 coats of Black Magic. When all that was dry it looked like it was missing something, so I added some star stickers to finish the "magic" look. 2 coats of top coat again to seal the stickers down.

And this was my nail mail waiting for me when I got home!
Hit Polish has sooooo many glitter polishes. She ships very quickly and the items are packaged safely and pretty. I was very happy with my purchase. I even had a custom polish made named "Leilani" after my daughter :)
I highly recommend this indie polish maker.
I hope to show you some swatches soon.
