China Glaze Gamer Glam

China Glaze Gamer Glam 2 coats.
This is from the 2011 China Glaze Spring Tronica collection.
This collection had a subtle scattered holographic effect.
I showed you Techno Teal from this collection before.
I really like this color and the stay time was decent.

The color is very similar to
but the application
of Gamer Glam is thicker,
more metallic like and not as runny as those two.
Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Galactic Gray

China Glaze Galactic Gray
2 coats, top coat.
This dark gray polish is such a stunner.
Like the other polishes in the Hologlam collection, the bottle
does not show the beauty that translates on the nail.
The tiny micro holographic particles come alive
and make a linear holographic effect on the nail.
I love wearing blacks and grey polishes, so this is
a 'keeper, repeater, stay forever in my collection' polish. lol

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Sci-Fly By

Hello!
Here is another polish from the
China Glaze Hologlam collection
released earlier this year.
I have 2 coats over my usual base coats.
I did use fast dry top coat.
I had chipping after 1 day on my pointer finger :(

I was pleased with the look and the formula as it went on.
The holographic particles are very fine.

China Glaze Sci-Fly By has a linear holographic effect in the sun.
The bottle doesn't show much, it looks more like a metallic polish by first glance.

This blue reminds me of clear skies on a summer day, never ending blue.
I like it.

Again, these polishes can be found in Sally's Beauty Supply
in the clearance section and maybe in your
local TJ Maxx for only $2.99.
Of course, the easiest find would be online.
Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Cosmic Dust

China Glaze Cosmic Dust

I applied 1 coat of Duri Rejuvacote and 1 coat of Orly Bonder,
then 2 coats of China Glaze Cosmic Dust
and 1 coat of HK Fast Dry Top Coat.

Cosmic Dust was released in the
2013 spring/summer Hologlam collection.
Most of the people were disappointed in this collection.
I was not.
I think they were hoping for a Color Club Halo Hues type of holo.
These have their own place in the holo world.
I like the smoothness of these polishes.
They are metallic holographic polishes.
Cosmic dust is a blue tinted steel grey.
If you notice in my pictures, the holographic pay off is strong.
It is just not visible in the in bottles like most holographic polishes.
Every one of the Hologlam polishes are awesome
in my book and worth the buy.
A lot are on clearance now at Sally's Beauty Supply.
Also, someone spotted them at TJ Maxx for $2.99 each!
I would suggest grabbing these if you can.
I will probably get a few more back ups if I run across a good deal.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nail Craze Stamping with Ciate Jewel

Hello!
I recently received my order from Nail Craze.
I ordered 2 plates, NC01 and NC02.
This is NC02.
The plates are $7 each at her etsy store.
or you can order them at www.ninjapolish.com

I used my usual base coats then 2 coats of China Glaze Sci-Fly By.
I stamped with Maybelline Navy Narcissist.
Then on my nub middle finger I added 2 coats of Ciate Jewel.
I am at the beginner stages of stamping.
This is probably my best result.
Thanks for stopping by!

Look at these shoes!!!
They were made for guys, but this lady wants to find them
for herself in a boys size 5.5
Currently, they are on eBay for like $200-$300.
Haha

Blue holographic mani

Hello!
I wore this manicure because it was the first
day we had sun the whole day this summer.
It has been raining like crazy here in Atlanta.
I couldn't decide which blue holographic polish to wear.
I ended up wearing 4 different polishes.
I added top coat over all of them.
I used a base of Duri Rejuvacote and Orly Bonder.

On my pinkie nail I have a base of Maybelline Navy Narcissist
with 1 coat of Hits Hefesto holo top coat.

On my ring finger and thumb I have Dance Legend High Voltage (11).
I added nail stickers.

Middle finger is a base of Maybelline Navy Narcissist
with 1 coat of China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out.

My pointer finger is 2 coats of Hits Apollo.

Now I will talk about these polishes...

Maybelline Navy Narcissist is a gorgeous 1 coater.
It is a metallic polish that dries quickly.
Hits Hefesto is my favorite holographic top coat.

Dance Legend High Voltage is a wonderful
linear holographic polish that goes on like butter.
I used 2 coats.

Hits Apollo is a jelly like holographic that went on
smoothly with 2 coats.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mint Mani for Talia Joy

Hey there.
I am sure you have heard of the passing of Talia Joy this past Tuesday.
I came across her channel on YouTube last year when I was
searching for make up tutorials.
I loved watching her and learning from her.
She was so cute and happy in her videos.
I made sure to subscribe.
I am sad to hear of her passing, but glad she is no longer in pain.
My heart goes out to her family and friends that were
lucky enough to have her in their lives.

My nails are 2 coats of China Glaze For Audrey.
1 coat of Hit Polish Hefesto.

It is a pretty manicure like the pretty young lady it's in honor of.

Thanks for stopping by
and hugs to everyone.

China Glaze vs. Milani Gold Holos

China Glaze Its My Turn vs Milani 3D
Hello!
Here is a quick comparison post for you.
I chose 2 scattered holographic gold polishes.

I applied 2-3 coats of each over
Duri Rejuvacote and 1 coat of top coat.

China Glaze Its My Turn is discontinued as of 2010.
(eBay and blog sales for $10+)

Milani 3D is discontinued as of winter 2012.
(you can find on blog sales for $2-$5)

Formula wise, China Glaze is more watery and is shown with 3 coats.
It probably needed 4-5 to be honest.

Color wise, Milani 3D is more of a yellow gold.

Holographic pay off, China Glaze has a linear scattered effect
while Milani has mostly a scattered holographic effect.

They are similar, but noticeably different.

Can you guess which is which from the pictures below?

( Below is in the direct sunlight)
Pointer & Ring= Milani 3D
Middle & Pinkie= China Glaze Its My Turn

(Below is soft box artificial lighting)

Milani vs China Glaze Purple Holo

Milani Hi-Res vs China Glaze Octa Gone Wild

Hello!
Here is a quick comparison post for you.
I chose 2 scattered holographic purple polishes.

I applied 3 coats of each over
Duri Rejuvacote and 1 coat of top coat.

Milani Hi-Res is discontinued as of winter 2012.
(you can find on blog sales for $2-$5)

China Glaze is discontinued as of 2010.
(eBay and blog sales for $15+)

Do you need both?
Probably not, but I still plan on keeping both.

Formula wise, China Glaze is more watery.
Color wise, China Glaze is a tad bit darker.
Holographic pay off, China Glaze has more of a linear scattered effect
while Milani has mostly a scattered holographic effect.

Can you guess which is which from the pictures below?

( Below is in the direct sunlight)
Pinkie & Middle= China Glaze Octa Gone Wild.
Ring & Pointer= Milani Hi Res

China Glaze Pool Party

Hey there!

Here is a bright neon pink for you to check out.
China Glaze Pool Party is a super fun color.
It was released in the Summer of 2010 Poolside Collection.

I also have Flip Flop Fantasy, Kiwi Cool-ada
and Sun Worshipper from the same collection.

China Glaze Pool Party is shown here over a white base with 2 coats.
As usual, neon colors are hard to capture in pictures.
I am sure you can tell it is a bright color though :)

I decided to add some holographic glitter to the mani.
Funky Fingers Sand and Stilettos fit the bill just right.
I just dabbed on a bit of it on the top and then
added a couple coats of top coat to smooth it out.

I have been wanting to wear more of my holographic polishes.

But, the constant rain all summer has me wearing my beloved neons.

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze High Def

Hello!
Here is a really pretty blue polish from China Glaze.
China Glaze High Def was released in the Spring 2011 Tronica collection.

I purchased mine from another polish lover here in Atlanta.
I also snagged "Gamer Glam" from her.
I hope to post that soon.

I am showing High Def here with 2 coats that went on easily.

When you know its not going to be a linear holo before you start,
you go into it just accepting whatever the result is.
And this result is really pretty.
The scattered holographic effect is easily shown.

I put an accent nail of Urban Outfitter Silver Holo.
2 coats of that as well.
After that was dry I added a nail sticker.
Then I topped it all off with 1 coat of top coat.

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Dance Baby & Candy Lacquer Block Party

Hey! Here is a fabulous pink creme polish by China Glaze.
China Glaze Dance Baby is a light bubble pink creme
polish that leans more towards the blue side than the red side.
 Super girly, very cute.
This is 2 coats with an accent of Candy Lacquer Block Party.
Block Party is a rainbow multi colored
square glitter polish in a clear base.
Love both of the polishes for obvious reasons.
I wore Dance Baby on my toes for a while too.
Dance Baby is from the Spring 2012 China Glaze Electropop collection.
You could probably find this color online. I found it at a beauty supply.
Candy Lacquer has a website as well http://candylacquer.bigcartel.com/
However, I believe the store is closed at the time
and will re-open at a later time.

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Techno Teal

Hey!
Here is a throwback from Spring 2011.
China Glaze Techno Teal is a very subtle scattered holographic polish.
If you are wanting a "in your face holo" this is not the polish for you.
But, if you wanted a pretty color that
has hints of a holo, then here you go :)
Although, these are a bit hard to find.
It has less holographic pay off then the new 2013 China Glaze Hologlam collection.
Techno Teal has a wonderful formula that covered in 2 coats.
The dry time was fast.
The wear time was regular, maybe a little less than normal.
I have 2 others from the Tronica collection, but I am still on the hunt for Gamer Glam.
Mostly, because of the name, I am a big computer gamer nerd :P

Thanks for stopping by!

Ninja Polish Crazy as a Capper and China Glaze Hologlams

Hey again!
One of my long time lemmings has been OPI Mad as a Hatter.
I was able to buy one mini size for an affordable price.
But, after wearing it, I knew I needed a larger bottle.
However, I did not want to pay
the outrageous prices people were selling theirs for.
Then I heard of Ninja Polish making a very close duplicate.
I was able to get my hands on Crazy as a Capper!
The joy I had when I opened my nail mail that day :)
Happy dancing may have occurred, lol.

Ninja Polish has been making some awesome polishes.
If you haven't tried their polishes, you should.

Anyways, I also wanted to try out some of the new China Glaze Hologlams.
I have all of them, but did not try them yet.
I am a huge holo polish lover...
I knew these polishes weren't going to be screaming rainbows.
So, I went in just judging by the formula and color.
I LOVE them! They go on like butter in 2 coats.
The stay time was awesome and the colors are beautiful.

On my pinky finger is Strap On Your Moonboots. (navy blue)
On my ring finger is When Stars Collide. (plum maroon)
On my middle and index is Crazy as a Capper. (multi colored glitter)
On my thumb is Not in this Galaxy. (peachy coral)

Currently NinjaPolish.com is sold out of Crazy as a Capper.
But, you can like them on Facebook or sign up for restock emails.

You can buy the China Glaze Hologlams
on
 Amazon.com
or
eBay.com

China Glaze Dorothy Who? and LA Girl Brilliant Blue comparison

Hey again!
Here is another comparison post.
These 2 polishes do not look the same in the bottle.
They also do not look exactly the same on the nail.
However, they are similar.
China Glaze Dorothy Who? is a thin jelly blue
based polish with micro silver and blue glitters.
LA Girl Brilliant Blue is a chunky scattered particle
jelly polish in a deep blue.
The differences?
Dorothy Who? is a glitter polish that looks great in the shade.
Brilliant Blue is a pretty polish in the shade,
but has so much depth in the sun.
The formula on Brilliant Blue reminds me
of Picture Polish Monroe and Kryptonite.
You can see below the top picture is in the sun
and the one below is in the shade.
Both have great formulas and wear time.

Thanks for stopping by!
