Day 6- Condescending Wonka

Day 6- Condescending Wonka
Hey!
I took this literal and did Wonka nails :)
Super easy with the decals I ordered from RLR Creations.
I messaged her the images and she whipped them up in a jiffy.
I started with 2 coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.
After that was dry I added the decals and 2 coats of top coat.
I let each layer of top coat dry before doing another layer.
Then I dabbed on Black Cat Lacquer Tetris.
Tetris is a multi color small square glitter polish in a clear base.
This polish is still available for $9 on their website.
www.blackcatlacquer.com

I loved this manicure.

I am late posting this.
I had a lot of issues last week that I won't go into.
But, I am here now :)

Thank you for stopping by!

OPI Save Me

Save me (8 thin coats)
Hey!
Here is a glitter polish from the Spring 2012 OPI Nicki Minaj collection.
This polish looks so fun in the bottle.
Save Me is a clear base polish with small silver glitters
and blue and holographic bar glitters mixed in.
I used 8 thin coats.
But, it wasn't so bad, because they dried pretty quick.
Because it is a glitter polish,
letting each layer dry somewhat keeps the glitter from dragging down.
I did not use a top coat since it dried smooth and pretty quickly.
I did not try to layer this polish.
But, I am pretty sure it would look great over a dark color.
The bar glitter did not stick up at all.
Overall I think I like this polish.
Not my favorite, but not low on this list either.

Below is a picture of OPI Not Like the Movies
 from the Katy Perry Collection.
I used 3 coats.
You can see I had tip wear after a day.
Not my favorite polish.

Thanks for stopping by!

Texture Polishes by OPI and Julie G

Hey, so I am sure you have heard of the new texture polishes.
And you probably have at least one.

Here are 2 brands.
OPI Can't Let Go (purple)
Julie G Crushed Candy (pink)

OPI Can't Let Go has larger bits of glitter in it.
Julie G Crushed Candy is more sparkly.
It reminds me of when a rock cracks open you see the shininess inside.
Well, except these are colors and sparkly, lol.
I wanted to try both and was too lazy to do a gradient.
So, I painted top and bottom the two colors and painted a black
line to make it some what presentable.

Both have just about the same formula.
2 coats that dried pretty quickly.
I would suggest letting the first coat
become almost dry and then adding the second.
It takes about 10 minutes total.
You do not need top coat.
I used a base coat of Duri Rejuvacote.
Removal was easy, not as hard as glitter polishes.
Wear time was good.
I did have tip wear after 2 days on a couple of fingers.

My nails did not snag on my clothes,
nor did the texture bother me at all at any point.

I would recommend using these polishes
when you need to hurry up and get those digits painted!

And below are 2 more Julie G Gumdrop colors.
Julie G Rock Candy (green)
Julie G Blueberry Fizz (blue)
Both are 2 coats.
Same formula as described above.

Candy Lacquer Candies & Sprinkles

Candy Lacquer Candies & Sprinkles accents
over
Sally Hansen Virtual Violet (1 coat)
over
OPI Purple with a Purpose (1 coat)

Hey there, this was not how I intended for this manicure to look.
But, I was rushed had to do what I could in the little time I had.
First, OPI Purple with a Purpose is a wonderful purple polish that was nearly opaque in 1 coat and dried very quickly. I am very glad I picked it up.
Sally Hansen Virtual Violet is a lot more opaque then I thought,
I just wanted some shimmery duo chrome look,
but it covered completely with the one coat, lol.
It dried at a decent time.
Candy Lacquer Candies & Sprinkles is the perfect glitter top coat to me.
It is packed full of the prettiest colors!
Instead of the reds, oranges and basic colors we see in multi colored glitters, it is turquoise, lavender, light pink, fuchsia, and dashes of other colors.

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out with Ariel

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out (4 coats)
Nail decal of Ariel.

Hello! This was my very first holographic polish that I bought.
It is so pretty!
These pictures do not do it justice.
It sparkles in the house and outside.
The formula is really watery, so it takes at least 4 coats for full coverage.
I found this beauty at an old beauty supply last year.
Needless to say I cleaned them out, lol.
China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out was discontinued in 2009.
It is a scattered light blue holographic polish with
larger pieces than most holo polishes.
An easier to find substitute would be Milani Cyberspace
I do have a post on that if you click that link you can see it.
At the bottom I put a few swatches of what I wore over the weekend.

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out, 4 coats.
 Sorry for the overexposed picture!

Bottle shots of China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out.

So, I painted me nails a bunch of times this weekend because they kept chipping.
I was cleaning out the garage and cleaning the house and did not wear gloves.
Oopsy :)

Here is another manicure I wore over the weekend,
Ninja Polish Sexy and I Know It (3 coats)
with
Geleous and Top coat.
Here is another manicure I wore over the weekend,
Assorted colors with
Sonoma Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (1 coat dabbed on)
This was a pain to dab on btw.

Here is another manicure I wore over the weekend,
Pretty & Polished Pinkie Pie (1 coat)
over
OPI If You Moust You Moust
Loved Pinkie Pie's formula.

Here is another manicure I wore over the weekend,
OPI Show It and Glow It (3 coats)
Geleous and Top coat.
Really Sparkly in real life!

Orly Angel Eyes

Orly Angel Eyes (2 coats)
over
OPI Unfor-greta-bly Blue (2 coats)
1 coat of top coat

Orly Angel Eyes is from the 2012 Naughty and Nice Holiday Collection.
Angel eyes has tons of really small glitters and accents of holographic silver glitters in a slightly larger size in a clear base.
My pictures make Angel Eyes seems a darker blue than it is.
The macro shot below shows the true color better.
I put a top coat out of habit. but it was already smooth and didn't need it. Angel eyes can be worn alone in 3 coats.
But, I wanted to have a depth to the manicure
and tried Unfor-greta-bly Blue by OPI.
The coupling fits perfect in my book.
I really love this polish combination!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Pure Ice Call Me!

Pure Ice Call Me!
Hello again :)
This is a glitter polish from Pure Ice that was recently released in their new line of 50 plus polishes.
And in that was a bunch of glitters, and in all those 50 something polishes I was able to find....1.
LOL. But, I love orange. So, for now this is great.
Pure Ice can be found at Wal-mart for $1.97 plus tax.
After seeing a lot of comments, not all of us have been lucky to have a Walmart with the new display of all the polishes. There are also suedes and duo chromes. For that great price, you really can't go wrong.
I really like Pure Ice polish quality as well.

I wore OPI DS Luxurious 1 coat underneath and 2 coats of Pure Ice Call Me!
I then added 2 coats of top coat to smooth it out, it wasn't as gritty as I was expecting.

Pure Ice Call Me! has tons of small orange glitters as you can see, but it also has small red glitter in there too. And obviously some hexagon silver medium glitters. If you look closely at the pictures below you can see the red glitters.
No fishing for glitter at all.
I had a hard time focusing on this polish for some reason.
Sorry if its blurry in some shots.

OPI DS Luxurious

OPI DS Luxurious
What a dream this polish is!!!
The formula is amazing. It went on great in 2 coats, show in the pictures.
OPI DS Luxurious is a vibrant orange with hints of red and gold shimmer.
I am a fan of orange, so I might be biased.
This has become my favorite orange polish.
Please view the pictures below.

Halloween Freestyle- Hello Kitty- LOTD

Del Sol Trick or Treat and OPI Extra-Va-Vagnza
Hello Kitty Halloween Nail Decals
Hello! For this manicure I started with Del Sol Trick or Treat. Del Sol Trick or Trick is a color changing polish that goes from orange to black!
That review made me hunt this polish down, lol.
I put OPI Extra-Va-Vagnza on the tips.
OPI Extra-Va-Vagnza is from the 2010 Holiday Burlesque collection.
OPI Extra-Va-Vagnza is orange base glitter bomb with pink, blue, green and silver glitter accents.
The color of the Del Sol Trick or Treat matches my skin tone in a not good way. That was my only complaint. It sparkles so much though and I love how it changes in the sun. See that picture below.
I also love these decals I bought from RLR Creations!
The are just the right size and are adorable.

Here is a picture below to show it in the sun. The longer the polish is in the sun, the darker it gets. This picture was about 45 seconds in the sun. You can see some of the holographic glitter in this picture.

Here is the looks below without the nail decals.
I put the glitter on the tips to spice up the orange.
