Maybelline Pacific Blues and Clearly Spotted

Hey! Long time no see.

Sorry about that.

My life has completely changed.

But, first let us talk about the polish.

I found these two polishes at the dollar tree.

I have been wanting a blue-jean blue and

a matte black & white glitter topper without line/hair glitters.

So, I bought them...even though I am on a

strict no buy.

Maybelline Pacific Blues is a creme polish that went on

well in 2 coats and dried semi matte.

I added one coat of Maybelline Clearly Spotted

for the above result.

I like it :)

I am having a major destash due to my life changes and

I also started a new diet today and hope to check in with the results

at least once a week.

I have a hard time with binge eating.

This program is very constructed to keep me 

on track and not hungry.

Today I baked a cake for my son's birthday

and I resisted tasting it. 

(cake is my weakness, too)

We took the kids to see Cinderella...LOVE IT!

Nail Craze Stamping with Ciate Jewel

Hello!

I recently received my order from Nail Craze.

I ordered 2 plates, NC01 and NC02.

This is NC02.

I used my usual base coats then 2 coats of China Glaze Sci-Fly By.

I stamped with Maybelline Navy Narcissist.

Then on my nub middle finger I added 2 coats of Ciate Jewel.

I am at the beginner stages of stamping.

This is probably my best result.

Kiko 255

Hello, here is a pretty purple polish with tiny holographic glitter accents.

This is 2 coats of Kiko 255 and 1 coat of Out the Door top coat.

This lasted a couple of days with no chipping before I took it off.

I really like this polish and am glad I swapped for it.

I am not sure where you can purchase this polish since its from the Italy.

And here is a lipstick I wore today.

Its Maybelline 14 hour lipstick in Eternal Rose.

This is 2 layers and dries a little dry.

If you do have naturally dry lips, I suggest not wearing it.

But, otherwise it is a decent lipstick

that lasts a good while with good color payoff.

Blue holographic mani

Hello!

I wore this manicure because it was the first

day we had sun the whole day this summer.

It has been raining like crazy here in Atlanta.

I couldn't decide which blue holographic polish to wear.

I ended up wearing 4 different polishes.

I added top coat over all of them.

I used a base of Duri Rejuvacote and Orly Bonder.

On my pinkie nail I have a base of Maybelline Navy Narcissist 

with 1 coat of Hits Hefesto holo top coat.

On my ring finger and thumb I have Dance Legend High Voltage (11).

I added nail stickers.

Middle finger is a base of Maybelline Navy Narcissist 

with 1 coat of China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out.

My pointer finger is 2 coats of Hits Apollo.

Now I will talk about these polishes...

Maybelline Navy Narcissist is a gorgeous 1 coater.

It is a metallic polish that dries quickly.

Hits Hefesto is my favorite holographic top coat.

Dance Legend High Voltage is a wonderful

linear holographic polish that goes on like butter.

I used 2 coats.

Hits Apollo is a jelly like holographic that went on

smoothly with 2 coats.

Milani Lavender

Hello :)

I wanted to wear some untried drug store brands.

Here is the result.

I started with Maybelline Amythest Ablaze, 2 coats.

It is a metallic light purple that seems darker and more silver in the bottle.

You can see a bottle picture below to see what I am talking about.

Because I have peeling on my middle finger, I did not want

to leave it with just this polish.

Metallic polish shows any flaws you may have on your nail.

So, I looked in my drawer for a glitter polish that would match

and had not been worn.

Milani Lavender waved at me and so I chose her, lol.

I put 2 thin coats and then 1 coat of HK Top coat.

Milani Lavender is a clear based polish with small blue toned purple glitter

and medium light purple hexagon glitters.

I think because my base was a in between purple from the

2 purple tone glitters, it was a perfect match to highlight all 3 colors.

I am going on day 3 and not even tip wear has shown.

I am on the computer 12 hours a day...that says a lot about the tip wear.

The result is soooo pretty and sparkly.

I am very pleased with the longevity and plan to recreate this

manicure with other colors with the same brands.

Hits Speciallita Hello Kitty / LOTD

Hey there.

 I received these adorable polishes in my Christmas Swap.

 I was so excited to have them.

The colors are very cute as well as the packaging.

I also love Hello Kitty.

The pictures show 2 coats each,

except for the Mint (green) required 3 coats.

The dry time was good and they wore pretty well.

My only complaint was a couple of the brushes

had some wonky bristles and stuck out.

The first coat had me worried because the formula is kind of thick.

But, after the second I saw everything was going to be OK, lol.

Here is my LOTD.

I tried out Maybelline Age Rewind.

Its supposed to be used as a highlighter

 or to hide the dark spots under the eyes.

It blended pretty well for me.

I bought the medium shade 130.

It was about $11 or so at Rite Aid.

I also used my Sephora Jasmine Palette

 to make a brown smokey eye.

But, you can't really tell because my eyes are open.

My lips are a lipstick I bought at the dollar store :)

Hey! Isn't this so pretty?

 Maybelline Sea-Quins is a really pretty glitter polish in teal.

I don't have another polish like this and

I am really glad I picked it up at Rite Aid. It was $3.99.

I put 2 coats and 3 coats of top coat. I think I should've used Geleous then a couple of coats of top coat. Oh well. Have a great day...more pics below :)

I am still sick, but here is a pic I took this morning.

I started eating clean yesterday.

It felt good to treat my body right.

Here is what I had for breakfast today...

1 packet of plain oatmeal

1/2 banana

I sprinkled some Truvia sweetner on top and it was soooooo yummy!

China Glaze Mummy May I

Awakening Collection-Halloween 2010

Pink/purple/fuchsia glitter in a dark purple jelly base.

The pictures are 4 coats!

I really suggest a black or dark purple underwear

 and then 1-2 coats of Mummy May I.

I kept getting bald spots. I also had small tip chips after 1 day :(

Those are my 2 complaints. But, I still love it! I added some dancing cat stickers just for fun.

My Halloween Look 2012

Howdy Ya'll! This was my look for Saturday evening.

 I was at an all adult costume party, so don't worry! lol.

And no, I am not naked, the tan color top and bottom are too close to my skin color. I didn't think about that until people were pointing it out. Oops. Anyway, as you may or may not know this was my goal date to have lost the extra fat/weight to fit into this costume. I did not fully succeed in my goal, but I got close enough. The fringe on the side of the vest helped cover any extra "me" and it was dark. I think I can call it a success :)

For my face I used Urban Decay Naked foundation 4.0 and Chanel powder. My eyes are with Urban Decay Primer potion, Urban Decay shadows are Midnight Rodeo, Midnight 15, Deeper and Vanilla. My liquid liner is Lancome, glitter liner is Ruby Kisses and I have false eye lashes on. My lips are Maybelline 10 hour Stain in Cool Coral. Below are some more pictures of me in my costume.

I also put the pictures of my costume on the model and my start weight pictures, where I am 10 lbs heavier.

And here is the costume on the model, below.

Below is me a few days into the healthy kick at 131 on August 28, 2012.

 I orginally started at 135.2 and I got down to 124.6.

So, that's a little over 10 pounds. I wanted to get down to 118ish. But, its not like I still can't do it!

Phantom Frights Duo Polish- Black/Orange Glitter

Hello! I have a drugstore find for you. 

I bought this at Rite Aid for the lovely price of $2.99. 

It is a duo polish that has black polish and

orange/black glitter polish connected.

It does not have a name or even a number that I can see. The glitters are tiny metallic orange, small hexagon metallic orange and short bar glitters in metallic orange and black. I like short bar glitters much better than long ones. Simply because they don't stick out on your nails nearly as much.

 Also, they don't resemble hair strands like long bar glitter does.

I put 2 coats of the black on. It was a much better black polish than I was expecting. The brush size is normal, nothing special or bad. The glitter was a tiny bit thick, but I thought that was good. I just put 1 coat of glitter on. I think anymore than that would have been over kill. I like it a lot. Although, with the black base, I don't see the point of the black glitters...

I wonder what this glitter would look like over another color...hmm...let me take a quick pic and show you...

Now you can see the black glitters and the orange glitters are hiding, lol.

I put 1 coat of the glitter on over Kleancolor Metallic Mango.

I also wanted to show you my favorite lippy.

 I love Maybelline lip stains.

 Below is Maybelline Super Stay 24 in the color "Always Heather."

I drink water very frequently throughout the day,

 you can't even tell by the below picture.

My beauty tip is that when you are going to apply it again,

do not put it over the remaining lip stain. Make sure you wipe it all off softly (don't wipe it of hard or you will dry your lips out). Put a small amount of the lip balm that comes with it on and blot your lips.

Then put the lip stain and balm on as usual.

Otherwise, you get all this build up gunk. 

This particlar color goes well with

my skin tone (tan olive tone) and hair color (red).

Halloween Challenge- Black Cat / LOTD

Hey again :) I am happy with my black cat nails. I was going to freehand a fence with a cat on it with the moon in the sky...but, I thought an up close and personal face would be better. I just googled "Black Cat Face" and used a real cat's eyes to use as a reference. I added the nose to include my lonely thumb, lol.

My LOTD

I don't know if its the new shampoo I am using.

 But, my hair is super curly all of a sudden. Its usually just wavy, but its crossed over to curly now. So, I had to flat iron it. Frying my hair is not something I like to do unless I am going out with friends. But, I couldn't have that curly mop on my head today. I wore a BEBE shirt my mom bought for me a long time ago (7 years!). Still fits great and looks new. Win Win :)

Jessica Simpson Jeggings for my pants, which are my FAV pants.

Sooooo comfy. I have short legs and a big behind. Her jeggings fit me perfect.

I am wearing some boots I bought at Marshall's last year for about $19.

My face is all Urban Decay.

My lips are Maybelline 10 hour lip stain in Fresh Fuchsia.

Does it stay on for 10 hours? Maybe if you put it on and didn't move for 10 hours, lol. For me, I put it on probably 3 times during a 10 hour period. This includes reapplying after I eat. I think that is awesome.

Day 19-Galaxy- LOTD

Hello! I am in a great mood. 

I always am when I get a day off during the week. I told my husband I would be a happy person 24/7 if I never had to work, lol. Anyways, on to the nails.

This day was more of what I like to do. There are no precise lines, so imperfections are not as noticeable on this type of nail art. I started with Orly's Haley Comet, then I dabbed with a make up sponge Color Club-Blue Lights and Orly-Lunar Eclipse. I then put some China Glaze-Fairy Dust on top. That really brought it together. It blended the colors and gave it that cosmic sparkle. China Glaze Fairy dust is a must for any polish lover. I use it a lot. After that dried I dabbed on some larger glitter from China Glaze-Techo, topped it with some fast dry top coat and taa dah! lol.

It was chilly this morning (55 degrees). I wore my favorite hoodie. 

Its a bright green and by Puma.

Since I will probably have it on all day, I matched my eye make up to it. I used Milani eyeshadow crayon in green and blended it with a Lancome light off white shimmer color from a gift with purchase shadow set.

The lashes are Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara. The liquid liner is Loreal. My cheeks are Maybelline Fit Blush. My lips are Milani Fashion Diva.

 Very casual look.

My diet and workouts...

Well, the diet part I am still doing. Just not the workouts. I feel guilty if I come home late because of my kids. I don't want them to wait long for dinner or help with their homework. I use that as an excuse not to stay after work to go to the gym. But, it is the truth. I need to step it up though. I weighed myself this morning and I am still at 127. Which, I am very happy about, considering I haven't been exercising at all. I vow to make an effort to workout everyday, starting today.

Day 14- Flowers-LOTD-Weight

I started with WnW Caribean Frost topped 

with NYC Scandalous Blue Glitter (wasn't needed). 

Then I put 1 stripe of Maybelline Amethyst Ablaze (This was a gift from Jen at  Exotic Lacquer). Very nice polish, worth the buy. To give it some sparkle I added Milani Diamond Dazzle. Then I put the nail stickers on. They are just as they are named...stickers. Super easy to put on. Just peel off, being careful not to touch too much of the sticky backing, then place on nail. Add 2 coats of top coat and you're done! I had a little excess on 2 of the nails.

I used nail clippers to trim the excess.

I love nail stickers! They are the quick way to get some nail art on without the stress. These had little rhinestone incorporated in the design. I bought a bunch from Ebay from various Chinese sellers. Low prices, Free shipping...not a bad deal :) Waiting 2-3 weeks for shipment to arrive is the only drawback. However, for me it isn't really a drawback. I have so many untrieds as it is, lol.

Here is my LOTD.

It was a quick get dressed kind of morning. Usually I carpool with my husband to work. But, he had the day off. So, I didn't get the usual time in the car to put on my make up.

I wore my new Hello Kitty shirt.

So, that's what inspired my eyeshadow, as usual. Lol.

I used Urban Decay shadows from the 15th anniversary palette. Tainted (light pink/pale purple), Junkshow (hot pink), and Omen (purple with b

lue shift) with Midnight 15 (pearl color with silver shimmer) as the highlight.

Loreal liquid eyeliner and Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara. I used a Maybelline lip stain in a purple shade. It does not look good on me. I tried to lighten it with a bubble gum gloss, but it didn't help. This shade kind of makes me look dead. I was going to dress up a little more today. But, we are going to the fair after work. So, jeans, t-shirt and flip flops it was :)

DAY 19-43 days until the Halloween party

As you can probably tell, I haven't been as diligent with the diet and working out as I was. But, I have been good in the eating department.

I weighed in this morning.

Here are the results...

I have lost an even 8 pounds in 19 days. I am also fitting in my clothes better.

Not where I want to be, but a lot closer :)

I still have 10 pounds until I am satisfied. 15 would be great, but probably not in my near future.

Day 7- Black and White / Weight / LOTD

Hello,
Today is day 7 on the 31 day nail challenge. Day 7 is black and white. Here is my silly manicure. I saw it somewhere, but cannot remember where. So. if you know, please let me know and I will credit that person.

Someone suggested "Chihiro Spirited away"

Looks like it, lol.

My thumb is really swollen due to some allergic reaction. I am not sure what. I keep going over and over what I did in the last 24 hours, but cannot remember doing anything different. Oh well, hopefully it will get better soon.

And on to the make up. Urban Decay as usual on the eyes. But, this time I showed some love to my Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. III NYC palette 

by using the brown tones-Suspect, Smog, and Maui Wowie. Lips are the usual favorite lip stain by Maybelline. I will post pics of those later. I keep talking about them, but never show you. Sorry!

My hair is a simple braid. I do not want to flat iron it unless I have to because it's still mad at me for color lifting and dying it.

Today is also day 11 of my getting healthy kick.

I weighed in this morning. Here are the results.

So, my start weight was 135.2.

So, as of this morning I have lost 6.8 lbs in 11 days. Not too shabby.
