Milani Silver Glitter

Hey there!
Here is a quick post of a manicure I wore to a Winter White Party.
I started with 1 coat of Pure Ice Silver Mercedes.
Pure Ice Silver Mercedes is a wonderful metallic silver polish
that can be purchased at Wal-mart for $1.99,
although I am not sure it is still available.
Anyway,
After that was dry I used a make up sponge and painted on
Milani Silver glitter to soak up some of the clear polish.
I didn't want nails that would take forever to dry,
so this is the alternative that I like to use.
I saw someone suggest it in a nail group on facebook earlier this year.
I forgot who, sorry.
After painting it on the sponge and then dabbing it
as I desired on my nail I then added a couple of
coats of top coat to get the smooth appearance.
I loved wearing this manicure, very blingy.
You can probably still find this polish at places that
sell Milani cosmetics.
Thanks for stopping by!

Lush Lacquer Pink Panther

Lush Lacquer Pink Panther (2 coats)
over
Pure Ice Strip Tease (2 coats)
Top coat

Hey again. Here is a great indie matte glitter polish.
Lush Lacquer Pink Panther is an excellent
black, white, and pink glitter top coat.
Pink Panther is in a clear base, so it goes over any color polish easily.
This is what they say about their polish...

"Pink Panther is a strikingly beautiful clear sheer base with a mixture of glitter...all different sizes of matte pink , matte black and matte white glitters are used to make this gorgeous polish. We use fine, medium and a few larger hexagonal matte glitter. We don't use any bar glitters in this combination. The colors in this polish look beautiful together and is absolutely stunning on. It's bright and very fun but it does not have a shiny finish ...it definitely attracts attention because it is bold! It looks great over other colors (see the swatches up above) or alone with 2 to 3 coats of polish. This polish has a smooth finish after applying 2 coats of a top coat or gelous. It can be worn shiny by applying a top coat or non-shiny without a topcoat...either way it's fantastic! Please apply a thick top coat to seal in the glitter and allow for a smooth finish! Happy Polishing!!! :0)
BTW~~Matte glitter polishes are all the rage right now!!!!!!"

Side note, the ladies at Lush Lacquer are sweethearts
 and have wonderful customer service.

Pure Ice Strip Tease probably wasn't the best choice as a base color.
The pink glitters in Pink Panther match Strip Tease too much.
But, I still loved wearing this combination.
Pure Ice Strip Tease has a slight shimmer to it and
is a pink coral cream type color
that reminds me of tiki bars at a beach, lol.
Good formula and can be found at Walmart for $1.97 plus tax.

Different Dimension Blue Christmas

Different Dimension Blue Christmas (1 coat)
over
Pure Ice A List (2 coats)
Top coat (1 coat)

Hey! Things have been hectic for me lately.
My husband is sick with the flu and strep throat.
So, I have been carrying his load at our store and
of course at home with the kids.
That means no me time.
I wanted to post a couple swatches.
Oh well! He is getting better though :)
And I have been taking tons of vitamins and
drinking lots of water to dodge his sickness, lol.

Here is a light blue glitter manicure for you to see.
It's not my favorite.
I think I picked a funky underwear that didn't show of the glitter top coat.
What do you think?
I paired it with Pure Ice A List. A discontinued light frost blue color I bought at Wal-mart for $1.97 plus tax.
I don't care for frosts because it shows all the imperfections on the nail.
I have peeling issues on my nails.
Luckily the glitter covered the obvious uneven parts.

Different Dimension Blue Christmas a clear polish with really pretty light blue, white, grey small and medium glitters in hexagon, diamond and square shapes with tiny holographic glitter accents.

Here is what Different Dimension said about Blue Christmas...
"Blue Christmas is a polish I've been looking for for years
 and finally made myself!
It has a clear base, holographic blue and silver glitter, white, blue and silver holographic hexes."

Lush Lacquer Oopsie Daisy.

Lush Lacquer -Oopsie Daisy (1 dabbed coat)
over
Pure Ice -A List (1 coat)

Hey there! I am trying really hard to get through
some over my polishes I haven't tried.
I bought this back in the summer and decided to try it out
over Pure Ice A List, a frosty light blue.
I had to dab on Lush Lacquer Oopsie Daisy because it was so full of glitters they were dragging to the bottom of the nail.
After all that I added 1 coat of top coat.
It could probably use another coat to smooth it out,
but I don't mind the texture.

The seller described the polish...

"Oopsie Daisy has a light blue polish base. This is one of our new favorites!!! It has opaque coverage and has a beautiful mixture of matte glitter... green, blue, coral/pink/orange, purple, red and last but not least, yellow daisies. It consists mostly of hexagons but has some daisy shape glitter as well. It also has an iridescent glitter added to it. The colors in this polish work VERY well together and it is absolutely gorgeous on. Matte glitter polishes are all the rage now! We are sooo in LOOOVVVEEE with this polish!!!! It looks great alone (see the swatch up above) with 2 to 3 coats of polish. Just for your info...we fished for 2 daisies to put on this nail swatch! 1 came out on its own. You will most likely never get 3 daisies on each nail! You will have to fish for most of the daisies, which is the case with most larger glitters."

I did not have to fish for the glitters, there were plenty ;)

Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures!

Pure Ice Not Now / Hit Polish Autumn Harvest

Pure Ice Not Now (2 coats)
with
Hit Polish Autumn Harvest
accent
1 coat top coat

Happy Thanksgiving!
It was a good one for me.
I hope for you as well.
I was sent the Pure Ice as a gift from Jennifer.
I am finally trying to out.
A wonderful dark green color that I thought would compliment
Hit Polish's Autumn Harvest well.
Thanks for reading!

Pure Ice Call Me!

Pure Ice Call Me!
Hello again :)
This is a glitter polish from Pure Ice that was recently released in their new line of 50 plus polishes.
And in that was a bunch of glitters, and in all those 50 something polishes I was able to find....1.
LOL. But, I love orange. So, for now this is great.
Pure Ice can be found at Wal-mart for $1.97 plus tax.
After seeing a lot of comments, not all of us have been lucky to have a Walmart with the new display of all the polishes. There are also suedes and duo chromes. For that great price, you really can't go wrong.
I really like Pure Ice polish quality as well.

I wore OPI DS Luxurious 1 coat underneath and 2 coats of Pure Ice Call Me!
I then added 2 coats of top coat to smooth it out, it wasn't as gritty as I was expecting.

Pure Ice Call Me! has tons of small orange glitters as you can see, but it also has small red glitter in there too. And obviously some hexagon silver medium glitters. If you look closely at the pictures below you can see the red glitters.
No fishing for glitter at all.
I had a hard time focusing on this polish for some reason.
Sorry if its blurry in some shots.

Day 15- Delicate Print

Day 15
Delicate Print
I really like Pure Ice Busted polish. I used 1 coat Essie Playdate as underwear, which is a pretty delicate light purple. I put 1 coat Pure Ice Busted. Top coat Out the door. Then I topped with stickers to make the delicate print. Stickers are now my crutch for nail art. It is important to wait until your nails are completely dry before placing the nail stickers on the nail. If you put them on your nails with the nail polish the slightest bit wet, the sticker will lift the polish off and mess up your manicure when you try to adjust the sticker. I have made this mistake a few times. I think my nails are dry, but the stickers told me otherwise. Also, you need to press the sticker on your nail by rubbing it a few times to make sure no air is between the nail and sticker.  I also suggest the least amount of polish on as possible because you need to put 3 coats of top coat after your base polishes. 1 coat before the stickers and 2 after you add them.

Essie Playdate is currently my favorite light purple polish. I recommend getting it if you have a blank space in your light purple/pink creme collection. Here is a quick review on it from Adore-a-polish.
Pure Ice-Busted is a lot prettier than the picture I am showing you.
Here is a picture from Nightly Nails
Here is another review on it over black. Click here to see that post by Moar Polish.
I prefer it over lighter colors, like the pictures shown.

Thanks for reading. I am headed to a UGA (University of Georgia) game, so I don't have much time to post more. Yay for the weekend!

Freehand Butterfly Mani

Butterfly Freehand Purple

Hello,
I tried to do the butterfly art on my nails and this is the result.
It was "meh" to me andlasted all of 18 hours, lol.
I painted my nails "Pure Ice-No Means No" first with 2 coats.
That was too plain, so I added one coat "Kleancolor-Holo Chrome."

It was pretty, but there was no sun, so I added the butterfly design
and some fast dry top coat.
And here we are :)
I followed this tutorial below.
