Hard Candy Piece of Papaya with Glitter!

Hey!
Here is one of the new Hard Candy polishes
 with some glitter added.
Piece of Papaya is a rich coral pink with gold shimmers in it.
This is the one I wanted the most out of the new collections.
The formula is so smooth and covered in 2 coats.
For some reason, I decided to put glitter on the tips, lol.
I dabbed on China Glaze Angel Wings on the tips.
Then I put a light coat on again and blended upward towards the cuticle.
Then I added 2 coats of top coat to even it out.

Overall, I was satisfied with the manicure.
It lasted about 3 days before I had to change it :)

Sally Hansen Bling-tastic and Suave Dry Shampoo

Sally Hansen Bling-tastic (3 coats)

Hey! Look at this beautiful glitter bomb.
I don't know why more people don't wear these.
I only have this color and the red one (Cha-Ching!) from the
Sally HansenGem Crush Collection.
Let me tell you why this polish is worthy of buying.

1. The Color, such a pretty bright blue color.
2. Its super Sparkly.
3. It dries smooth!
4. It dries quickly.

You can find these polishes anywhere Sally Hansen products are sold.

I have really long hair.
My hair has went through a lot in the last 8 months.
I had it bleached then died red every 8 weeks.
Because of the red dye and the length of my hair,
I don't wash my hair but twice a week.
But, on day 3 of not washing my hair, it looks oily.

Here is my cure.
Suave Dry Shampoo gives me about 1-2 more days of
wearing my hair down.
I just spray at the roots by seperating with a comb,
like I am parting my hair from front to back.
The smell is great.
I have concluded it smells like Pineapple Soda.
Yum!

AND....
it's only $2.88 at Walmart!
Woot!

For that price, its worth a try if you have the same issues.

Claire's Candy Shop

Claire's Candy Shop (3 coats)
2 coats of Top Coat

Hey! Here is a pink polish for Pink Wednesdays.
This polish is sooooo full of glitter!
I put 3 coats so the base coat would cover more of the nail line.
There was enough glitter in the first coat.
I would suggest using a base coat of a pink color then
adding this on the top if you don't like this much glitter.
The more I wear pink, the more I see it is not my color.
*sad face*
I love pink though!

It is a dupe for Deborah Lippman's Candy Shop.
It is the pink version of China Glaze It's a Trap-eze.

Girly Bits Smurf Dance

Hey again,
This is my first time trying Girly Bits.
Girly Bits is a indie polish maker from Canada.
I ordered this polish and a couple of others from her store online.
The shipping time was a lot longer than I am used to (3 weeks+).
I am not sure if she makes each polish as ordered
or if she was behind on shipments.
But, I wasn't in a rush, so it wasn't a big deal.

I used a 2 coats of a Korean metallic polish (no name)
that is a blue jean color as the base.
The color is it is a tad bit darker than
 Girly Bits Smurf Dance.
Which works great, because it shows off each
of the blue toned glitters in Smurf Dance.
I just put 1 coat of Smurf Dance on top.
The holographic glitter accents really make this polish.
I love the result.

PS: I have a tattoo of Jokey Smurf, so I love smurfs...lol.

Texture Polishes by OPI and Julie G

Hey, so I am sure you have heard of the new texture polishes.
And you probably have at least one.

Here are 2 brands.
OPI Can't Let Go (purple)
Julie G Crushed Candy (pink)

OPI Can't Let Go has larger bits of glitter in it.
Julie G Crushed Candy is more sparkly.
It reminds me of when a rock cracks open you see the shininess inside.
Well, except these are colors and sparkly, lol.
I wanted to try both and was too lazy to do a gradient.
So, I painted top and bottom the two colors and painted a black
line to make it some what presentable.

Both have just about the same formula.
2 coats that dried pretty quickly.
I would suggest letting the first coat
become almost dry and then adding the second.
It takes about 10 minutes total.
You do not need top coat.
I used a base coat of Duri Rejuvacote.
Removal was easy, not as hard as glitter polishes.
Wear time was good.
I did have tip wear after 2 days on a couple of fingers.

My nails did not snag on my clothes,
nor did the texture bother me at all at any point.

I would recommend using these polishes
when you need to hurry up and get those digits painted!

And below are 2 more Julie G Gumdrop colors.
Julie G Rock Candy (green)
Julie G Blueberry Fizz (blue)
Both are 2 coats.
Same formula as described above.

Hits Speciallita Hello Kitty / LOTD

Hey there.
I received these adorable polishes in my Christmas Swap.
I was so excited to have them.
The colors are very cute as well as the packaging.
I also love Hello Kitty.
The pictures show 2 coats each,
except for the Mint (green) required 3 coats.
The dry time was good and they wore pretty well.
My only complaint was a couple of the brushes
had some wonky bristles and stuck out.
The first coat had me worried because the formula is kind of thick.
But, after the second I saw everything was going to be OK, lol.

Here is my LOTD.
I tried out Maybelline Age Rewind.
Its supposed to be used as a highlighter
or to hide the dark spots under the eyes.
It blended pretty well for me.
I bought the medium shade 130.
It was about $11 or so at Rite Aid.

I also used my Sephora Jasmine Palette
to make a brown smokey eye.
But, you can't really tell because my eyes are open.

My lips are a lipstick I bought at the dollar store :)

Color Club Over the Moon

Color Club Over the Moon (2 coats)
no top coat

Hey!
I know you have seen the Color Club Halo Hues a lot.
But, here is another post about one.
Just like everyone else is saying...
The formula is great.
It doesn't require a aqua base.
It is opaque in a couple of coats.
It dries fast.

You can see some tip wear in the pictures
because I did not use top coat.
I adore the Halo Hues collection 2012-2013.
I purchased mine from Transdesign and Enospring.com.

Glitzology All or Nothing & Rhinestone Jumpsuit

Hey there.
Here are some swatches of Glitzology
All or Nothing
and
 Rhinestone Jumpsuit.

As usual, Glitzology polishes are packed full of glitter.
The formula is thick, but workable.
The owner of Glitzology has temporarily closed her etsy store due to a back injury.
But, she should be back soon.
Here is what she said about these polishes...

"I made this polish for my younger sister, Amy. She is the definition of an "all or nothing" type of person. Even when I asked her what she wanted her polish to look like, she said "Either really conservative and elegant or totally wild and crazy!" I obviously picked wild and crazy, haha!
This polish features fuchsia, silver, and teal holo glitter, with tons of fuchsia, teal, purple glitter in a variety of shapes and sizes! This has been one of my favorite colors lately because it works so well as a layering polish over so many colors!"

"Rhinestone Jumpsuit is inspired by my love of Elvis!
This polish is made of a gold shimmer base, with fuschia, bright blue, gold, red, and orange glitters in a variety of shapes including dots, squares, and hexes."

I layered both over Sally Hansen Black Platinum,
a dark grey shimmer color that required 3 coats for full coverage.

Hard Candy Birthday Bash

Hard Candy Birthday Bash (3 coats)
1 coat top coat

Hey beautiful people! I hope your weekend was good.
Mine was fabulous...mostly, lol.
Lets talk about the polish first.
Hard Candy Birthday Bash is one of the new shades from the
Walmart display in the Crystal Confetti collection.
Birthday Bash is a blue jelly polish with silver and black glitters in small
and medium hexagon and bar glitters.
I know, bar glitters, yuck...but, these weren't too bad.
This is 3 thin coats. The stay time was good.

And below is my St. Patrick's Day manicure.
I wore China Glaze Running in Circles the day before.
I decided to add Kleancolor Metallic Green to the tips.
Then I added glitter, because glitter makes things better! lol.
The glitter I used is Kawaii Lacquer Slytherin.
Topped it off with 1 coat of Out the Door and I was ready to go!

And below is my St. Patrick's Day make up
I used mostly Urban Decay shadows from the deluxe palette.
I blended the green, gold and blue shades.
Lined with black liquid liner and glitter liner and added some false eyelashes.
The lips are Glinda and Theodora mixed.

And below is a picture from Saturday.
I drank too much and this sweet friend of mine not only
held my hair but caught some of it...You know she is a true friend, lol.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Running in Circles

China Glaze Running in Circles (2 coats)
no top coat

Hey! Happy St. Patrick's weekend :)
This is from the Cirque du Soleil collection that was released late 2012.
Wow! The perfect shade of glass fleck green
with a wonderful 2 coating formula.
If you haven't already picked up a bottle of this green glory, please go now.
I rushed my pictures, please excuse my messy cuticles.
My husband and I are hanging out at some St. Patrick's day events.
I think I will still wear this polish for them.
I will try to post some pictures of us dressed up all green.

Here is my LOTD.
I mixed the eye shadows and lip colors from the
Theodora and Glinda Oz palettes by Urban Decay.

Thanks for stopping by!
