Orly Androgynie

Hey peoples!
 Sorry I have been absent.
I have been focusing my time on fitness and getting
ready for Tomorrow World.
I hope to continue my nails and make up next week sometime.
Lets talk about this polish.
I have worn it once before.
That time I did not care for it.
This time I layered it over black and liked it a little more.
There are little bits of gold glitter in the black jelly based polish
that give the appearance of a dark grey color
instead of black.
The only thing that I love about this polish is the large iridescent
glitters that are dashed in.

Below is a picture I took with my camera
with indirect sunlight.

Candeo Glacier over Orly Sweet Peacock

Hello, here is a glitter polish by Candeo named Glacier.

This is how the maker describes the polish...

"Glacier has a refreshing blue base with holographic shimmer,
small teal hex, small blue squares and multiple sizes of silver glitter"

You can view and purchase this polish here
It retails for $9.
By itself it can be worn in 3-4 coats.
I did not want to wear a sheer polish, so I paired Glacier
with Orly Sweet Peacock.
Sweet Peacock is a beautiful metallic blue that covers in 1 coat.
These pictures show it with 1 coat of Glacier and then a couple of
glitters dabbed on to suit my taste.
I think these two are a perfect match.

Orly Elation Generation

Orly Elation Generation-3 Coats
Coral Pink jelly polish with small holographic glitters.

This is from the Orly Spring 2013 High and Freedom collection.
The other polishes I purchased from this collection were
Which I have posted about both already.

Application was easy and the glitters spread evenly in each coat.
Dry time was decent.
Wear time was good.
Overall, this is a great polish.

Thanks for stopping by!

This last picture shows its true color the best.
Plus it matched my dress pretty well! :)

Orly Melodious Utopia

Hey! Its been gloomy and rainy here in Atlanta.
I tried to be a little cheery by wearing yellow.
Here is Orly Melodious Utopia in 3 coats and 1 layer of top coat.
Melodious Utopia is from the 2013 Hope & Freedom Fest Spring collection.
It is a pale canary yellow cream with pink shimmers.
The formula wasn't perfect, but it wasn't a pain either.
I really like this yellow with my skin tone.
I don't really like to wear yellow, since I have a yellow undertone in my skin.
But, I will keep this one :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Orly High on Hope and Birthday Pictures!

Orly High on Hope (2 coats)
Top coat

Hey! I am still pretty under the weather. But, I wanted to post something!
Here is Orly High on Hope.
Its is from the 2013 Spring Hope and Freedom Collection.
 There are 6 colors.
I purchased 3 of them, High on Hope (shown), Elation Generation (pink jelly with glitter)
 and Melodious Utopia (yellow shimmer).

High on Hope is a navy jelly with pink shimmers inside
that have a slight duo chrome effect.
I put 2 thin coats.
The dry time was good and so far the wear is good.
It is cloudy here in Atlanta, so no sun pictures.
However, I think High on Hope looks better in the shade.

And below are some of the pictures from my birthday celebration.
I went out 2 nights.
This is night one.

I wore a Holt dress that made me feel so pretty.

My make up is Urban Decay Theodora palette.
My lips are Maybelline lip stain in a red color.

My nails for the night were Color Club Revvvolution.

Above is with flash.
Below is in direct sunlight.
You can see Revvvolution has a scattered holo effect.
It takes 1-2 coats for full coverage.
With top coat, the stay time is pretty decent for a holo.

Hard Candy Little Bo Pink and Swatches

Hey again.
Here is another Hard Candy shimmer polish.
This one is called Little Bo Pink.
Little Bo Pink is a shimmery coral pink that sort of glows on the nails.
The formula is awesome.
My mom saw me with this one and permanently borrowed it, lol.
She only wears pink polish,
so I usually lose pink polishes to her.

I also added a few swatches below of other polishes
 I wore but never posted.

As you can see below, I broke my middle finger nail, so sad.

And below is Finger Paints Twisted, 2 coats, over black.
Took me over a year and something to get a hold of Twisted.
But, it is finally mine! Look at all those colors!

Below is Orly Miss Conduct, 3 coats.
Oh boy, is this a beauty or what?!
Love love love this polish.

And below is Orly Torrid (one of my very fav reds)
with Ninja Polish First Snow on top.
First Snow has matte white glitters and
these blue toned glitters that surprise the eye.
This picture was taken on an overcast day outside.
And here is the same combo below but with indirect natural lighting.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hit Polish Bourbon St. with Orly Haley's Comet

Orly Haley's Comet (1 thin coat)
over
Hit Polish Bourbon St. (1 coat)
over
L'Oreal Owl's Night (3 coats)

Hey! The above picture was an accident.
I was just testing out a color to show my husband
and it was actually kind of pretty. I think so anyway.
If you view the post before this one, you will see I was wearing L'Oreal Owl's Night.
I didn't want to remove it because it was wearing so well.
So, I randomly picked a glitter that I didn't try yet.
Hit Polish Bourbon St. is a wonderful glitter top coat
with shredded and hexagon glitters in purple, turquoise, gold and blues.
The formula was great.
The top picture is basically a glitter sandwich,
just not the typical white base and top coat we are used to.

Orly Haley's Comet is my go to polish.
Tons of dupes out there,
so if you can't find it, no worries.
Zoya Charla, OPI Catch me in your net (HTF),
Sinful Colors (not exact dupe),
Pure Ice has a new one that is exactly the same.

Hit Polish Bourbon St. close up.

Weight/Fitness update.
I am still the same weight, actually maybe a pound heavier :(
Darn Superbowl weekend is the same weekend as my daughter's 8th day.
So, of course we go out to dinner a bunch and have cake.
Then Sunday lots of naughty yummy food.
I will make up for it, but I won't lie and say I was good...
haha

Orly Torrid

Orly Torrid (2 coats)
Top coat (1 coat)

Orly Torrid is from the 2012 Naughty or Nice Holiday Collection.
It is a deep metallic shimmer red.
The formula was pretty good and the stay time, so far, is fabulous.
I have a lot of dents in my nails,
so I don't really like to wear just a plain color.
But, I am sure you don't mind,
especially with this pretty classic color.

 Happy Friday!
I am really excited to get home because I get to open
my Secret Swap package that is sure to be full of goodies.
My SPS sent me 3 boxes!!!
I will post a picture at the end of this post so you can see what I have waiting at home for me.

Orly Angel Eyes

Orly Angel Eyes (2 coats)
over
OPI Unfor-greta-bly Blue (2 coats)
1 coat of top coat

Orly Angel Eyes is from the 2012 Naughty and Nice Holiday Collection.
Angel eyes has tons of really small glitters and accents of holographic silver glitters in a slightly larger size in a clear base.
My pictures make Angel Eyes seems a darker blue than it is.
The macro shot below shows the true color better.
I put a top coat out of habit. but it was already smooth and didn't need it. Angel eyes can be worn alone in 3 coats.
But, I wanted to have a depth to the manicure
and tried Unfor-greta-bly Blue by OPI.
The coupling fits perfect in my book.
I really love this polish combination!

Thanks for stopping by :)
