Sation Midlife Miss-Tress / Color Club Glitter Wonderland

Color Club Glitter Wonderland (2 coats)
with accents of
Sation Midlife Miss-Tress

Wow! I love this manicure. Glitter Wonderland is so pretty! It is a magenta purple metallic polish with tiny bits of blue and pink accents mixed in. It is supposed to be scented. But, I don't smell anything. Then again, I added more polish that may have covered the scent. Not sure.
Anyways, I just bought the Sation Midlife Miss-Tress last night and thought that it would make a great glitter accent to Glitter Wonderland.
 I think I was right ;P
Sation Midlife Miss-Tress is a clear based polish packed full of fuchsia glitter in small and medium sizes. There are a few black and silver glitter accents that really make this polish even more awesome. The formula was thick, but perfectly thick for spreading on glitter. It dried smooth! I still added 1 coat of top coat since I added a star design on my ring finger. Hope you like it!

Orly Angel Eyes

Orly Angel Eyes (2 coats)
over
OPI Unfor-greta-bly Blue (2 coats)
1 coat of top coat

Orly Angel Eyes is from the 2012 Naughty and Nice Holiday Collection.
Angel eyes has tons of really small glitters and accents of holographic silver glitters in a slightly larger size in a clear base.
My pictures make Angel Eyes seems a darker blue than it is.
The macro shot below shows the true color better.
I put a top coat out of habit. but it was already smooth and didn't need it. Angel eyes can be worn alone in 3 coats.
But, I wanted to have a depth to the manicure
and tried Unfor-greta-bly Blue by OPI.
The coupling fits perfect in my book.
I really love this polish combination!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Different Dimension Rainbows & Butterflies

Different Dimension Rainbows & Butterflies (1 coat)
over
Color Club Lumin-Icecent (1 coat)
1 coat top coat

Here is another indie polish for you :)
This is a Limited Edition polish from Different Dimension.

The seller describes it...

"Rainbows & Butterflies has a pearly white jelly base and is packed literally with a ton of rainbow holographic glitters! There are also pink holographic butterflies added, because who can be upset when there are butterflies involved?!?"

I thought the base color would look nicely over Color Club Lumin-Icecent, a metallic foil light blue, and this is result. The base color in Rainbows & Butterflies is so light, you could layer it over any polish. I did have to fish for the butterfly glitters, most of them had settled to the bottom. No biggie.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures :)

Lush Lacquer Oopsie Daisy.

Lush Lacquer -Oopsie Daisy (1 dabbed coat)
over
Pure Ice -A List (1 coat)

Hey there! I am trying really hard to get through
some over my polishes I haven't tried.
I bought this back in the summer and decided to try it out
over Pure Ice A List, a frosty light blue.
I had to dab on Lush Lacquer Oopsie Daisy because it was so full of glitters they were dragging to the bottom of the nail.
After all that I added 1 coat of top coat.
It could probably use another coat to smooth it out,
but I don't mind the texture.

The seller described the polish...

"Oopsie Daisy has a light blue polish base. This is one of our new favorites!!! It has opaque coverage and has a beautiful mixture of matte glitter... green, blue, coral/pink/orange, purple, red and last but not least, yellow daisies. It consists mostly of hexagons but has some daisy shape glitter as well. It also has an iridescent glitter added to it. The colors in this polish work VERY well together and it is absolutely gorgeous on. Matte glitter polishes are all the rage now! We are sooo in LOOOVVVEEE with this polish!!!! It looks great alone (see the swatch up above) with 2 to 3 coats of polish. Just for your info...we fished for 2 daisies to put on this nail swatch! 1 came out on its own. You will most likely never get 3 daisies on each nail! You will have to fish for most of the daisies, which is the case with most larger glitters."

I did not have to fish for the glitters, there were plenty ;)

Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures!

Lush Lacquer Birthday Cake

Lush Lacquer Birthday Cake
3 Coats
Hello! I have seen so many pretty swatches for Birthday Cake.
I was not able to acheive the same look.
Birthday Cake was, in my opinion, too full of glitter.
I will try to put a base color of white next time and then layer over it.
Because of the amount of glitter, the base seemed a dingy white purple.
Maybe my batch has too much glitter,
or maybe I needed to roll my bottle around.

Less is more is better to me.

I think the name "Birthday Cake" fits it perfectly.

Maybe you could come up with a better swatch than me.

By the way, the bar glitter did not give me any issues.
They are a really nice Etsy shop. Great customer service.

Here are some more pictures...

Glitzology The Great Pumpkin

Glitzology The Great Pumpkin (1 thick coat)
over
 Sinful Colors Nirvana (2 coats)

Another Glitzology, lol.
Major glitter bomb.
I snagged this polish when she had a closeout on her
Halloween polishes for $3.75.
I started with Sinful Colors Nirvana.
It said it was Matte...but was not. Boo!
But, its a great mocha color and not bad for less than a dollar.
Walgreen drugstore periodically has Sinful Colors for $0.99.
When they do, I buy a lot, lol.
I only put 1 coat of top coat.
It need probably 2 coats of Gelous and 1 coat of top coat.

Thanks for reading!
I hope you had a safe Black Friday :)

Pure Ice Not Now / Hit Polish Autumn Harvest

Pure Ice Not Now (2 coats)
with
Hit Polish Autumn Harvest
accent
1 coat top coat

Happy Thanksgiving!
It was a good one for me.
I hope for you as well.
I was sent the Pure Ice as a gift from Jennifer.
I am finally trying to out.
A wonderful dark green color that I thought would compliment
Hit Polish's Autumn Harvest well.
Thanks for reading!

Jesse's Girl Confetti / Glitzology Pixie Dust

This is a picture heavy post.
This was my polish process, enjoy!

Jesse's Girl Confetti (2 coat)
with added
Spectraflair 14 (1 dash)
over
Color Club Pucci-Licious (2 coats)

I read somewhere that adding Spectraflair to Jesse's Girl Confetti made it awesome.
Adding the Spectraflair was the biggest headache. I added 1 small sized scoop, the size of a straw tip.
I didn't have the right tools to scoop up the holographic powder.
I made a mess and probably wasted more of the
stuff then added to the polish.
I should've added a few drops of nail polish thinner afterwards.
It was a little too thick. I love the end result though.
You can buy Jesse's Girl Confetti at Rite Aide drug stores for $3.99 a bottle.
Jesse's Girl Confetti is a sheer blue/purple duo chrome much like Sally Hansen DVD. Definitely a layering polish. I bet putting it over black would make it pop. But, I was digging the purple/blue tones.
It was so pretty I didn't want to take it off!

 Please view the pictures below.

Afterwards I saw my Glitzology bottle of Pixie Dust
 sitting there looking all pretty.
So, it got added on.
I did this manicure twice.
Once at night and then an hour later washed my hair.
When I got out I saw  that part of the manicure was sliding off!
The top of the polish was dry, just underneath wasn't. I had to redo it the next day and had issues again with the dry time. I don't know what the issue was exactly.
I am thinking it's just too many layers.
The end result is lovely, but I just couldn't get it to stay.
Next time I will just cut the Jesse's Girl Confetti out.

Ms. Stacy's description of the polish...
"When I was little, l loved anything to do with fairies or pixies. This color reminds me of my childhood! This polish features lilac glitter, pink and lilac opalescent shimmer mica, satin lilac hexes, and lot of iridescent purple to blue squares and shreds."

Glitzology My Viking Boyfriend

Glitzology My Viking Boyfriend
 (1 coat)
over
Sinful Colors Blue By You
(2 coats but 1 would have been fine)

Wow! This is one gorgeous manicure in my book.
This combination really compliments each other.
Sinful Colors Blue by You is a excellent polish that was nearly a 1 coater.
A pretty blue with tons of shimmer.
I found this beauty at Wal-mart.
My husband commented on how this was his favorite manicure I have ever done!
It is his favorite color, so he is biased.
But, I have to admit, it is on the top of my list as well.
My Viking Boyfriend is on the thick side. A little goes a long way.

My Viking Boyfriend is described by Ms. Stacy...
"I made this polish in honor of my awesome boyfriend who is convinced that he is a Viking (he's not, but I just go along with it). This polish is made up of blue and silver holo glitters, dark blue hexes, and holo silver squares and hexes."

Glitzology polishes are easily becoming my favorite indie polishes.
Fantastic customer service, prices, shipping time and of course the polishes are lovely.
She is having $5 on full size polishes until Black Friday.

Enjoy the pictures below :)
