31DC2013 -Day 5- Blue Nails

Day 5- Blue
Treasures by Tan Blue Hawaiian
Here is an untired indie polish I had laying around.
I have shown you the other 2 colors I bought from her.
and
Both are from the same holo collection she released this past summer.
The other two were sheer, but this one was REALLY sheer.
I honestly, don't like the formula at all.
5-6 coats is way too much for any polish.
This is my least favorite of the 3 that I purchased.
Layering it over another polish would probably be the only
way I will wear this again.
Check out her store and see the many other holos she has.
Purple Rain is worth a try :)

I did another look with the
Kat Von D Spellbinding Book of Shadows.
I used purples this time.
Babe, Arcadia, and Wonderland.
Lips are Kat Von D Lolita.
Blush is Wet n Wild Heather Silk.

31DC2013 -Day 4- Green - Literary Lacquer Green Gables

Day 4- Green
Hey! This is a indie polish brand that I recently tried for the first time.
I saw a swatch of this green holographic polish and
knew I had to make it mine. This is 2 coats of Green Gables.
It went on very smooth and dried quickly.
I added 1 coat of top coat for good measure.
The holographic payoff is not in your face, however
I like a good scattered holo, especially when the color is unique
and the formula is so smooth.
This indie maker also has other holos as well as glitter polishes.
This particular polish is $10 for the full size and is available now

I got another great eyeshadow palette!
Kat Von D Spellbinding Book of Shadows
I paid $55 on Sephora.com.
Free shipping and received in 2 days :)
This is my quick look I did when I was at home.
I used Fallen, Precious, Cry Later, and Countess.
My lips are also Kat Von D, Adora.
The shadows blend so well!
I highly recommend this palette.
Tons of color choices.
There are only 2 matte colors, but that doesn't bother me at all.

31DC2013 Day 2: Orange Nails-Miami Dolphins

Hey!
Sorry for my absence.
I have been doing my nails each day of the challenge.
I just didn't have to chance to post about it.
I appreciate you coming back ;)

Here is Day 2, Orange nails.
I decided to do a manicure in honor of my sweet husband's favorite
team, the Miami Dolphins.
I started with Hits Speciallita Quemada, 3 thin coats.
Which is a Brazillian glass fleck orange polish that is similar to
Color Club Sparkle and Soar that was released
in the Take Wing 2012 collection.

After that was dry, I added 1 dabbed on coat of Hit Polish Dolphins
on the shown fingernails.
I then put 2 white ovals on the two remaining nails.
After that was good and dry (2 hours later)
I added the 2 special order decals I received from RLR Creations.
A couple of coats of fast dry top coat and I was done.

I recently acquired my BIGGEST make up lemming
Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette
that was released January 2010.
This is my first look that I did within hours of receiving it.
I blended 3 colors...
Curiouser, White Rabbit, and Queen

My lips are a tinted Burt's Bee lip balm.

Picture Polish Kryptonite and Birthday Pictures!

Picture Polish Kryptonite (2 coats)
Top coat

Hey, I wanted to show you a polish I received
from a sweet lady for my birthday swap present.
Picture Polish Kryptonite is a dark green jelly polish with chunks of
holo like sparkles.
The sparkles show in the sun, as expected.
But, it looks gorgeous in the shade as well.
You can see in the above and below pictures
how the particles are obvious in the shade.
I have Picture Polish Monroe and the formula is the same.
I really really love this polish's formula.
I'm on my 3rd day without any tip wear!
Thanks again Amy for sending it to me :)

Below is in the sun.

Here is my make up for my birthday celebration
Night 2.
I wore Urban Decay shadows from the 15th anniversary palette.
My lips are a lip stain by Maybelline.
I curled my hair with a curling wand the night before
and just touch up some of the curls for this night.

My dress is Bebe and my shoes are Steve Madden

Orly High on Hope and Birthday Pictures!

Orly High on Hope (2 coats)
Top coat

Hey! I am still pretty under the weather. But, I wanted to post something!
Here is Orly High on Hope.
Its is from the 2013 Spring Hope and Freedom Collection.
 There are 6 colors.
I purchased 3 of them, High on Hope (shown), Elation Generation (pink jelly with glitter)
 and Melodious Utopia (yellow shimmer).

High on Hope is a navy jelly with pink shimmers inside
that have a slight duo chrome effect.
I put 2 thin coats.
The dry time was good and so far the wear is good.
It is cloudy here in Atlanta, so no sun pictures.
However, I think High on Hope looks better in the shade.

And below are some of the pictures from my birthday celebration.
I went out 2 nights.
This is night one.

I wore a Holt dress that made me feel so pretty.

My make up is Urban Decay Theodora palette.
My lips are Maybelline lip stain in a red color.

My nails for the night were Color Club Revvvolution.

Above is with flash.
Below is in direct sunlight.
You can see Revvvolution has a scattered holo effect.
It takes 1-2 coats for full coverage.
With top coat, the stay time is pretty decent for a holo.

Hits Speciallita Hello Kitty / LOTD

Hey there.
I received these adorable polishes in my Christmas Swap.
I was so excited to have them.
The colors are very cute as well as the packaging.
I also love Hello Kitty.
The pictures show 2 coats each,
except for the Mint (green) required 3 coats.
The dry time was good and they wore pretty well.
My only complaint was a couple of the brushes
had some wonky bristles and stuck out.
The first coat had me worried because the formula is kind of thick.
But, after the second I saw everything was going to be OK, lol.

Here is my LOTD.
I tried out Maybelline Age Rewind.
Its supposed to be used as a highlighter
or to hide the dark spots under the eyes.
It blended pretty well for me.
I bought the medium shade 130.
It was about $11 or so at Rite Aid.

I also used my Sephora Jasmine Palette
to make a brown smokey eye.
But, you can't really tell because my eyes are open.

My lips are a lipstick I bought at the dollar store :)

China Glaze Running in Circles

China Glaze Running in Circles (2 coats)
no top coat

Hey! Happy St. Patrick's weekend :)
This is from the Cirque du Soleil collection that was released late 2012.
Wow! The perfect shade of glass fleck green
with a wonderful 2 coating formula.
If you haven't already picked up a bottle of this green glory, please go now.
I rushed my pictures, please excuse my messy cuticles.
My husband and I are hanging out at some St. Patrick's day events.
I think I will still wear this polish for them.
I will try to post some pictures of us dressed up all green.

Here is my LOTD.
I mixed the eye shadows and lip colors from the
Theodora and Glinda Oz palettes by Urban Decay.

Wet n Wild Shimmer the Night Away

Wet n Wild Shimmer the Night Away

Hello again :)
I am showing another RAOK I received over the winter holidays.
I was sent this palette and another Wet n Wild one.
I usually wear Urban Decay, so I am spoiled with creaminess of the shadows.
With that said, I wasn't that disappointed with WnW eye shadows.
They are not the quality of the high end,
but worth every penny of the drugstore brand.
You can purchase these anywhere Wet n Wild is sold.

Kat Von D Starry Eyes Palette

Hello! Here are a couple of looks I came up
with using the Kat Von D Starry Eyes palette.
I was given this in a RAOK (Random Act of Kindness) from a
sweet person in a beauty group during the winter holidays.

First, I tried the brown eye shadows, Felix. (above)
They blended well and the color pay off was good.
I paired that with the lip color, Adora.
The color of Adora is a orange tinted red
and looks good with my complexion.
I was happy enough with this look.
It is a little out of my normal look, but was good enough for a casual day.

Below I wore the darker purple shades, Lohner.
They blended the same as Felix.
I paired the lip shade Lolita with those eye shadows.
I liked this look overall better on me.
I added Urban Decay glitter liner in Spandex as an accent.

I have yet to try the other 2 shades, Helmut and Requiem.
But, I am sure the quality is just the same.

Here is another review on the palette that gives more infomation

Sephora Cinderella Palette swatches

(Colors used: Maiden, Charming, Chateau, Rococo)
These colors blended easily enough.

Hey there! Sorry, I have been gone so long.
I was on a wonderful vacation in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
We stayed at the Hard Rock Resort for a good friend's wedding.
I will touch back on that at the end of this post.

Anyways, on to the make up!
I heard about the Sephora Disney Cinderella palette
a bit too late to actually find one in the stores or online.
So, after being patient, and some help from people in the facebook world.
I found one for sell and bought it for a good price and it was new in the box!

I have worn it for 3 days in a row and these are the 3 looks I came up with.
I only used the eyeshadows from this palette
to come up with my combinations.
I have heard that people were disappointed
with the dryness of the eyeshadows.
The only issue I had was with the blue colors, especially the color "Royal".
They didn't look the same color on me as the
palette and did seem a bit "chalk-y"
Now, with that said, I still made it work without that much fuss.
I am happy with the palette and will continue to use it.

(Colors used: Charming, Drizella, and Rococo)
These colors blended easily, Drizella is a beautiful
coppery brown that I love.

(Colors used: Ball Gown, Glass Slipper, Royal, and Midnight)
This combination was the hardest for me to
blend and to get a saturated look.
Glitter liner is Urban Decay Spandex

Here are some of the many pictures that were taken
on our 6 day vacation with friends.
My love and I right before the ceremony.
I used my trusty curling wand for my hair.
My hair started to turn a orange red during the trip, boo! lol.

Here are some of us ladies.

Here is my hubby and I. I got really burnt the first day and stayed
out of the sun the rest of the trip, well as much as I could.

This is some of us ladies right before the ceremony.

Here is another group shot.
The guy and girl right below him are the bride and groom.

Thanks for stopping by!
I have a lot of nail pictures and posts I need to add, so come back soon :)

KBShimmer Cotton Candy

KBShimmer Cotton Candy (2 coats)
over
Sation Just Lilac That (2 coats)
Top coat

Hey there. Here is my Pink Wednesday manicure.
As usual, I am trying to wear my long list of untried nail polishes.
I don't really care for the tone of the pink in the base of the KBShimmer Cotton Candy,
so I tried to lighten it up by layering it over Sation Just Lilac That.
Personally, I do not like the polish on me.
I like the idea of the glitters together, just not on me.

Sation Just Lilac That is a pretty cream polish in a very pale pink purple shimmer color.
I really like it. You can see a picture of it alone below.

Here is my LOTD.
I used the Urban Decay Glinda Palette
and followed the directions on the card that came with it.
