31DC2013 -Day 3- Yellow- Sugar Skull

Hey again!
Day 3- Yellow Nails
I put a white base, although I did not need one.
This is Hard Candy Shot of Lemon, 2 Coats.
Shot of Lemon is a Glass Fleck lemon yellow color.
Great formula and fun color.
Then I put 1 dabbed on coat of Hit Polish Toucan
on all the nails but the middle.
On the middle I put a circle the size of my decal of white polish.
The reason is because the decal does not show up well
without a white background.
When that was good and dry I added a decal I bought
from RLR Creations. Before I was able to take pictures,
the decal started to peel off (after I showered).
This is partly because I did not put 2 coats of top coat.
So, I layered another decal on top. If you look closely you can tell.
This time I did put 2 coats of top coat over the decal.
Not my favorite manicure, but it'll do :)

I did another look with my beloved
Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette.
This time I used the browns to create a neutral smokey eye look.
Mad Hatter, Midnight Tea Party, White Rabbit and Wonderland.

My lips are Maybelline Cool Coral.

My cheeks are Wet n Wild Pearlescent Pink (my fav blush)

Patriotic Nails

Hello!
Today is July 3rd, the eve of our country's birthday.
Here is my simple manicure.
I purchased Nails Inc. Jubilee from someone online.
It wasn't cheap, I think it was around $20ish with shipping.
I love it though.
I have 2 coats of Nails Inc Jubilee.
3 coats of Hard Candy Bity Blue.
2 coats of Hard Candy Little Hottie.
Bity Blue is a shimmer multi chrome that has slight color shifts
you can see in the bottle picture below.
Little Hottie is a red violet color that also is a shimmer
multi chrome with slight shifts.
Hard Candy did a wonderful job on their formulas for this
line. I was lucky enough to receive both of them
as gifts from Candy Coated Tips.
She has a great blog you probably have heard of, if not, I
suggest going to have a look :)

After all those coats were some what dry,
I put 2 coats of Gelous on Jubilee.
Then after all that was dry I added 1 coat of HK Girl top coat.

The result is fun and simple.

Thanks for stopping by
and
Happy 4th of July!

Hard Candy Little Bo Pink and Swatches

Hey again.
Here is another Hard Candy shimmer polish.
This one is called Little Bo Pink.
Little Bo Pink is a shimmery coral pink that sort of glows on the nails.
The formula is awesome.
My mom saw me with this one and permanently borrowed it, lol.
She only wears pink polish,
so I usually lose pink polishes to her.

I also added a few swatches below of other polishes
 I wore but never posted.

As you can see below, I broke my middle finger nail, so sad.

And below is Finger Paints Twisted, 2 coats, over black.
Took me over a year and something to get a hold of Twisted.
But, it is finally mine! Look at all those colors!

Below is Orly Miss Conduct, 3 coats.
Oh boy, is this a beauty or what?!
Love love love this polish.

And below is Orly Torrid (one of my very fav reds)
with Ninja Polish First Snow on top.
First Snow has matte white glitters and
these blue toned glitters that surprise the eye.
This picture was taken on an overcast day outside.
And here is the same combo below but with indirect natural lighting.

Hard Candy Hip Hip Hooray

Hey! Here is another Hard Candy polish.
This one is called Hip Hip Hooray.
Tons of glitter in a light purple sheer base.
This one took about 2 coats and 2 coats of top coat.
I did have to dab a little to keep all the glitter from ending up at
the bottom of my nails.
At first, I really didn't like this polish look.
But, over the course of the day, it grew on me.
This was also a gift from candycoatednails.blogspot.com
Isn't she sweet? :)
Thanks from reading and have a great day!

Hard Candy Fun n' Festive

Hey! This is another new polish by Hard Candy.
This was also given to me by the sweetie from candycoatednails.blogspot.com
Hard Candy Fun n' Festive is a dark green jelly based polish
full of different sized glitter in green and orange tones.
It only took about 2 coats to reach full opacity.
I added top coat to make it shine, because it dried a bit dull.
Fun n' Festive reminds me of a swamp. lol
I know, not very festive, but camouflage type colors don't make me think of fun.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Hard Candy Bity Blue

Hello! Here is one of the newer polishes from Hard Candy.
Hard Candy Bity Blue is such a pretty polish.
I was happy to be given this by a sweet lady
 at http://candycoatedtips.blogspot.com/
I am sure I have this color already.
But, what makes this polish wonderful is the formula.
It goes on so well and stays!
These pictures show 2 coats.
I wore it on both hands.

I wanted to try a couple of polishes
that I haven't showed any love to.

Below on my right hand on the 2 center fingers I put 1 coat of
China Glaze Blue Hawaiian over Bity Blue.

Below on my left hand on the 2 center fingers I put 1 coat of
Milani Diamond Dazzle over Bity Blue.

They both gave about the same effect.
You can see in the picture above that
Hard Candy Bity Blue seems like it is duo chrome.
It does not show up on the nail as such.
Not for my short nails anyway.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hard Candy Piece of Papaya with Glitter!

Hey!
Here is one of the new Hard Candy polishes
 with some glitter added.
Piece of Papaya is a rich coral pink with gold shimmers in it.
This is the one I wanted the most out of the new collections.
The formula is so smooth and covered in 2 coats.
For some reason, I decided to put glitter on the tips, lol.
I dabbed on China Glaze Angel Wings on the tips.
Then I put a light coat on again and blended upward towards the cuticle.
Then I added 2 coats of top coat to even it out.

Overall, I was satisfied with the manicure.
It lasted about 3 days before I had to change it :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Hard Candy Birthday Bash

Hard Candy Birthday Bash (3 coats)
1 coat top coat

Hey beautiful people! I hope your weekend was good.
Mine was fabulous...mostly, lol.
Lets talk about the polish first.
Hard Candy Birthday Bash is one of the new shades from the
Walmart display in the Crystal Confetti collection.
Birthday Bash is a blue jelly polish with silver and black glitters in small
and medium hexagon and bar glitters.
I know, bar glitters, yuck...but, these weren't too bad.
This is 3 thin coats. The stay time was good.

And below is my St. Patrick's Day manicure.
I wore China Glaze Running in Circles the day before.
I decided to add Kleancolor Metallic Green to the tips.
Then I added glitter, because glitter makes things better! lol.
The glitter I used is Kawaii Lacquer Slytherin.
Topped it off with 1 coat of Out the Door and I was ready to go!

And below is my St. Patrick's Day make up
I used mostly Urban Decay shadows from the deluxe palette.
I blended the green, gold and blue shades.
Lined with black liquid liner and glitter liner and added some false eyelashes.
The lips are Glinda and Theodora mixed.

And below is a picture from Saturday.
I drank too much and this sweet friend of mine not only
held my hair but caught some of it...You know she is a true friend, lol.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by!
