New Year's Eve Nails

Happy New Year's Eve :)
I did a quick manicure with some budget polishes.
I love the result.
The base pink color is Tickled Pink by Wet n Wild.
The glitter is Color Club Gingerbread.
It took 3 coats for the Tickled Pink to be completely opaque.
2 coats for Gingerbread.
3 coats of top coat to make it completely smooth.
As I have mentioned before, I am in love with
Color Club's 2011 Beyond the Mistletoe Collection.
Gingerbread has tiny bits of glitter in a clear base.
The glitter colors are mainly gold with a bunch hologram glitters.
The great thing about that is it picks up the pink and looks like
there are pink glitters.
I hope you have a safe and awesome New Year's celebration.
I know I will!

Jade Mystic Gold

Hey!
This gorgeous import from Brazil is called Mystic Gold.
I got this as soon as it was released last year in the Spring/Summer.
Jade holos are jelly-like and apply like butter.
The stay time is great as well.
The gold tone is like what you would think of
when a 100% gold bar was handed to you.
To me, Jade can do no wrong in terms of holographics.
You can purchase this color as well as the many other
colors available at...

Born Pretty Holo #10

Hey! Here is a holographic polish I ordered online
at BornPrettyStore.com
This is 3 coats of holo #10.
The teal color is very pretty and reminds me of Jade Energy.
Although, the formula on 10 is runny compared to Energy.
It took almost a month for me to receive my order I made in September.
I think the color is pretty and the holographic payoff is great.

 Below with flash.

Below is in the shade with natural lighting.
Sorry for the messiness! But, you can see the true color here. Lovely.

Christmas Nails, Again!

Hey there!

Here are some more Christmas nails with stickers.
This time I used Milani Red Glitter, Orly Here Comes Trouble (green glitter),
and OPI Sky Slope Sweetie (white gold).

After all that was dry, some top coat and an extra coat on the glitters.
I added some stickers from eBay and a couple more coats of top coat.

I really like OPI Sky Slope Sweetie by the way!
It was opaque white in 2 coats with a wonderful gold shimmer.
I recommend adding it to your collection if you
are like me and love good polishes.

Nothing really wow about my completed manicure.
But, it was cute enough for my son's Christmas party at school :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Isn't he adorable?!
They made a couple of crafts and that was about it for the Christmas Party! lol

Milani Silver Glitter

Hey there!
Here is a quick post of a manicure I wore to a Winter White Party.
I started with 1 coat of Pure Ice Silver Mercedes.
Pure Ice Silver Mercedes is a wonderful metallic silver polish
that can be purchased at Wal-mart for $1.99,
although I am not sure it is still available.
Anyway,
After that was dry I used a make up sponge and painted on
Milani Silver glitter to soak up some of the clear polish.
I didn't want nails that would take forever to dry,
so this is the alternative that I like to use.
I saw someone suggest it in a nail group on facebook earlier this year.
I forgot who, sorry.
After painting it on the sponge and then dabbing it
as I desired on my nail I then added a couple of
coats of top coat to get the smooth appearance.
I loved wearing this manicure, very blingy.
You can probably still find this polish at places that
sell Milani cosmetics.

Christmas Nails

Hey there!
I hope your week is going well.
Mine has been awesome.
I attended a Winter White Party on Monday with
my husband and friends that was in support of cancer research.
It is always fun to party and help a good cause.
Anywho, here is a quick manicure I did using a few different polishes
and adding some Christmas stickers I bought from eBay
that came from China.
I hope to show you more Christmas manicures before
the big day.

Hits Samba

Hits Samba 3 coats with matte top coat.
Flakie polish?
I know, holographic is what is all the rage now (again)
and I am one of the ragers.
But, lets take a moment to remember
one of the past fads, flakies.
Using matte top coat helps see the awesomeness in flakie polish.
And that is why I used it.
I think this particular polish looks like jewels and has depth.
I bought this from a blog sale, but I am sure you can find this
at
Thanks for stopping by
and I hope your day/night is going well :)

Pretty Jelly Fairy Ring

Pretty Jelly Fairy Ring 2 coats
Hey there.
This is an indie holographic polish that claims to be linear,
but is not.
It is a pretty scattered holographic polish that covers in 2 coats.
I did have some chipping after the first day.
I purchased all the colors she had
available at the time in the mini sizes.
Since I prefer a strong holographic effect,
 I was disappointed.
However, that is just preference.
This is my favorite of the bunch I did purchase.
I have seen that others were very pleased with their Pretty Jelly holos.
If you would like to try it out click HERE.
Full size is $10, mini size is $4.25.

The color of Fairy Ring is more like the picture below in real life.
A sort of olive army green with punches
of lighter green showing through
in the sun.

China Glaze Gamer Glam

China Glaze Gamer Glam 2 coats.
This is from the 2011 China Glaze Spring Tronica collection.
This collection had a subtle scattered holographic effect.
I showed you Techno Teal from this collection before.
I really like this color and the stay time was decent.

The color is very similar to
but the application
of Gamer Glam is thicker,
more metallic like and not as runny as those two.

Smitten Polish Electric Lime

Hello again!
This is another stunner from the indie maker
Smitten Polish.
Again, let me say how amazing her holos are.
The saturation of color and linear holographic payoff
are just to swoon over.
Love it. I purchased this along with a handful of other
holographic polishes during a preorder.
I dare say this is my favorite of all them.
Besides how it is gorgeous in sun, its fabulous in the shade.
Please see below for a shade picture.

Color Club Holiday Splendor

Color Club Holiday Splendor
2 coats, 1 top coat.
Hey!
Look at this beauty!
Color Club really out did themselves with this holiday collection
from 2011 and all the pretty glitters.
I LOVE glitter polish, especially small glitters.
This collection is my favorite glitter collection.
Holiday Splendor is a green blue jelly based glitter polish
with holographic accents
that put this baby on my 'favs of all time' list.
A jelly polish that covers in 2 coats? Yes, please.
Holographic glitters? Yes, please.
And a vibrant green blue color? Yes, please!
The wear time was great, after 3 days, I removed it
without any tip wear.
The cost cannot be beat. I have 2 of these, one I bought
at a nail supply for about $2.50 and one I got in a pack
from Ross for about $8 for the entire set.

Did you know that Color Club is also 4 Free and Vegan,
 never testing on animals.
They also work with organizations like GLAAD, Autism Speaks, and the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund for charity.
I don't mind to spend my money that goes to a company like this.

Colors by llarowe Dirty Diana

Colors by llarowe Dirty Diana
2 coats, top coat.

Here is another holographic polish from Colors by llarowe.
The formula was easy and covered in 2 coats.
I did not have the chipping issue I had with another one I wore by CBL.
The color is very pretty, it reminds me of
OPI DS Exclusive, but a tad but on the red side than the purple like
Exclusive. I also acquired this through her pre-orders.
The price was $12.

Ninja Polish Glamorous

Ninja Polish Glamorous
2 coats, top coat.
Oh yes I did! I have this beauty AND I am showing you it, lol.
Ninja Polish made this in hopes of duplicating the
very hard to find OPI DS Glamorous.
I believe they succeeded in their efforts.
Now, this color is a blurple color, meaning blue and purple mixed.
To me, the color leans more towards blue than purple.
Although, other bloggers have described it as purple with blue hints.
*shrug*
Either way, it is a beauty and I am happy to have it in my collection.

Liquid Sky Lacquer Walk on the Wild Side

Liquid Sky Lacquer Walk on the Wild Side
2 coats, top coat.
Hey again. This is the other Liquid Sky Lacquer
I purchased on llarowe's website when I bought Sugared Berries.
I wasn't as happy with this one as I was with
Sugared Berries. The color wasn't my favorite.
The formula is excellent.
It is only color tone preference that keeps me from loving this
polish. The pictures I am showing you look so
pretty. But, in person the purple is like a dusty grey purple.
I prefer vibrant rich purples or pretty lavenders.
However, the more I wore this polish, the more I liked it.
As you can see in the last picture, the polish
changes appearances in different lighting.
I like it, I just don't think I love it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Liquid Sky Lacquer Sugared Berries

Liquid Sky Lacquer Sugared Berries
2 coats, top coat.
Hey there :)
This is the first I am showing Liquid Sky Lacquer.
I purchased 2 polishes by this brand from llarowe in October.
This is the one I liked the most of the two.
This pretty light lavender color fits the name perfectly.
The formula was great.
The stay time was good as well.
Now, there were other colors I wanted more than this one,
but as you may know, its hard to get the ones you want
during a "restock" on llarowe's website.

The above picture is with flash and the one below is sunlight.

Lush Lacquer Bubble Yummy

Lush Lacquer Bubble Yummy
4-5 thin coats, 2 coats top coat.
Hey there!
Lush Lacquer changed their company name to
Polish Me Silly due to another company
owning a very similar name.
Same products and ingredients, just a different name.

Bubble Yummy was in my untried pile for over a year, yikes!
So, here it is.
It is listed as a 2-3 coater, but I don't see how that is possible
without layering it due to how sheer it is.

This is what the maker says about it...
"Bubble Yummy is a strikingly beautiful semi-sheer purple base with a mixture of glitter... silver and purple fine and medium glitter are used. This polish combination is absolutely stunning on. It's bright and very fun...it definitely attracts attention! It looks great over other colors (see the swatches up above) or alone with 2 to 3 coats of polish. This polish has a smooth finish after applying a top coat. Please apply a thick top coat to seal in the glitter and allow for a smooth finish! "

The process of applying was annoying.
I am spoiled by my 1-2 coating polishes
and had to let a few layers dry and come back after a few hours
to add a couple of more coats on the visible nail line areas.
The result is adorable though!
The formula is blah.
I am not a jelly polish fan (the work that goes into it)
So, take my opinion lightly.
This is still available on their etsy store for $9.

Colors by llarowe Vamp

Colors by llarowe Vamp
2 coats, top coat.

Howdy there :)

Here is another holographic polish. I am addicted, sorry!
Colors by llarowe Vamp is a red holo with golden copper flashes.
In the sunlight it goes from red to red violet almost.
As you can see in the picture, it doesn't look like a true red.
However, with indoor lighting it does seem red.
It is a beauty and I am super glad I ordered it during her preorder.

You can click here to visit the store listing as well as see
another swatch (which looks different then mine)

I received mine at the beginning of September, so
I am not sure if there were different batches.

Smitten Polish Out of the Blue

Smitten Polish Out of the Blue
2 coats, top coat.
This is my favorite shade of blue. And blue is usually my
favorite color. So, basically this shade of blue is my all time
favorite color. Its such a rich beautiful royal blue.
The formula is perfect. I cannot believe how fabulous all of
Smitten Polish holos are and why more people are not going crazy over them.
This is currently sold out. But, following Smitten Polish on facebook
usually helps. She answers questions and updates restocks or preorders often.
Here is her store...

If you are a blue and holo lover, I highly recommend this polish.
Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Galactic Gray

China Glaze Galactic Gray
2 coats, top coat.
This dark gray polish is such a stunner.
Like the other polishes in the Hologlam collection, the bottle
does not show the beauty that translates on the nail.
The tiny micro holographic particles come alive
and make a linear holographic effect on the nail.
I love wearing blacks and grey polishes, so this is
a 'keeper, repeater, stay forever in my collection' polish. lol

Thanks for stopping by!

Smitten Polish Enchanted Forest

Smitten Polish Enchanted Forest
2 coats, top coat.
Wow! Smitten Polish has really been producing some
saturated colors with her holographic polishes.
She is currently my favorite indie brand.
This is Enchanted Forest in 2 easy coats.
The green is so rich,
and is rightly named.
The dry time and wear time were great.
The formula is jelly like, much like the Jade Holos from Brazil.
However, not that strong smell Jades tend to have.
If you do not have a Smitten Polish, I suggest you try some.
This polish is $11 and is currently available on her Etsy store.
Also, if you follow her shop on Facebook, she
often does preorders.
That is how I obtained all my holo polishes from her.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dance Legend Shock

Dance Legend Shock
2 coats, no top coat.

This is a holographic polish from the Russian brand, Dance Legend.
Shock (No. 3) is a rich strawberry pink color.
Their Prism collection is amazing.
I dare say, my favorite holographic line for linear holographic polish.
The strong holographic effect rivals any other brand.
The formula goes on smooth and evenly in 1-2 coats.
The dry time and stay time is wonderful.
The color selection is great.
I have no complaints other than I want more colors to buy! lol
I think that the cost of $13 a bottle is well worth the quality.
You can purchase this polish from the following retailers...
or
also, there is a Facebook group Color 4 U nails, I purchased from as well.
I do not have a link to that retailer. But, she is reliable as well.
Her name is Sisu, I believe.
(I deactivated my Facebook, so I can't recall exactly)

I suggest purchasing from one of these companies.
I purchased directly from the Russian retailer
and after a month of waiting I had to dispute my purchase
due to the order being lost in transit.
So, for peace of mind, I would purchase within the same country.
