Glitter Gal 3D Silver Holo over Colors

(Pink=China Glaze Purple Panic (neon),
Teal= China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise,
Purple= Ruby Kisses Cast a Spell,
Green= Color Club What a Shock!)
Hey! I wanted to wear one of my many un-tried polishes.
Here is Glitter Gal 3D Silver holo.
I did my right hand in just the Silver Holo.
And I noticed it looks sort of dingy on me.
Like a nude holographic polish, not a silver holographic.
So, I looked up swatches and found Rebecca Likes Nails' post.
I saw that it looked similar on her and that she also tried it over other colors.
Obviously, I decided to try it as well.
I liked Silver Holo over the other colors better than it on its own.
I put a bunch of pictures below of my attempts.
I think they looks similar to some of the indie holos that are being
way over charged in the sales' groups.
I did try another silver holographic top coat to see if it worked better than
this Glitter Gal, and it did. Hits Specilita Hefesto is a better top coat.
It goes on thinner and more even. Its meant to be a top coat, so that makes sense :)

Below is in the direct sunlight.
My thumb nail is Pure Ice French Kiss.
Below is in my car, indirect sunlight.

Below is Glitter Gal 3D Silver Holo in 3 coats
and accents of a blurple franken I made.

And below in direct sunlight.
You can see how it looks like a nude color, not silver.

And below is with flash,
right after I painted it and realized I did not like it alone.

And below are a couple more of my testers.
I tried Sally Hansen Calypso Blue with 1 coat of GG 3D Silver Holo.
This is a pretty combination as well.

And below is one coat of Hits Hefesto over
Lavender= China Glaze Tart-y For the Party
Pink= China Glaze Dance Baby
I really like the lavender one :)

Different Dimension Light it Up Blue

Howdy there :)
Different Dimension made this polish.
Here is what she said about it...

"Light It Up Blue literally glows blue in the dark -
inspired by Autism Speaks and World Autism Day.

This polish has a light blue jelly base with blue & silver holographic glitters & a few large white hexes and it GLOWS BLUE in the dark!!
I will be donating 2.00 from every sale of this polish (& Puzzle Pieces) to Autism Speaks, so not only are you getting an awesome polish, but your money is also going towards an amazing charity!"

This polish glows blue in the dark! Very cool.
I failed to get any pictures of it glowing in the dark.
However, you can click the link above to see some swatches of it glowing.
I chose to wear 1 coat of Light it Up Blue
over 2 coats of Sally Hansen Calypso Blue.
Then I topped it off with 1 coat of top coat.
Even without the cool factor of it glowing, its really pretty. I especially love the holographic glitters that float in the light blue jelly base and the large white glitters add a little somethin' somethin'

China Glaze Dance Baby & Candy Lacquer Block Party

Hey! Here is a fabulous pink creme polish by China Glaze.
China Glaze Dance Baby is a light bubble pink creme
polish that leans more towards the blue side than the red side.
 Super girly, very cute.
This is 2 coats with an accent of Candy Lacquer Block Party.
Block Party is a rainbow multi colored
square glitter polish in a clear base.
Love both of the polishes for obvious reasons.
I wore Dance Baby on my toes for a while too.
Dance Baby is from the Spring 2012 China Glaze Electropop collection.
You could probably find this color online. I found it at a beauty supply.
Candy Lacquer has a website as well http://candylacquer.bigcartel.com/
However, I believe the store is closed at the time
and will re-open at a later time.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nabi Holo Teal

Hello again.
Here is another Nabi holographic polish for you to see.
This is the second I tried of the 12 I have.
Teal has less of a holographic pay off than Green does.
But, the vibrancy of the color makes up for it.
The color really is pretty, as you can see.
The formula was good. 2 coats dried fast.
I did not wear top coat.
I did have chipping after 2 days.
2 hard days, though.
I should have worn top coat, but didn't have the time.
Even though its not a in-your-face holo, its still worthy of owning.
Again, I purchased 6 colors for $21.90 with free shipping.
I received my order in 2 days.
Everything was wrapped in bubble and arrived safely.

Left is Green and Right is Teal
in the sun.

Left is Teal and Right is Green
with flash.
And below is my second order.
This time I picked...
Gold, Ocean Blue, Light Pink
Hot Pink, Red, Navy Blue

Patriotic Nails

Hello :)
This is a super quick manicure
I did in honor of all the fallen service men and women.
Being from a military family, even down to my husband being a Marine.
I am extremely supportive and respectful of the armed forces.

Please excuse the lack of clean up!
We were running to the movies and I wanted to do my nails
before stepping out of the house.

We are still not completely moved in, by the way...
I hurt my back and can't do much with bending and lifting :(
It is bugging the crap out of me seeing my house in a mess.

Anyways, the polishes I used was
Jade Vermelho Surreal, red holo, 2 coats.
Jade Hypnose, blue holo, 2 coats.
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, off white cream, 2 coats.
Naild'It Indie-pen-dance, red, white & blue glitter, 1 coat dabbed on.

Each polish is a favorite of mine.
Great formulas, good wear time, and fast dry time.
I hope your holiday was a good one.
Mine was great!

Nabi Holo Green

Hey! Sorry I haven't posted much. I am in the process of moving. I will be setting up my nail area better and share pics when I am done. But, for now here is a new holographic polish I found because a sweetheart in a group I am in found these on ebay. Super great polishes for cheap and free shipping, can't say no to that :)
This is my favorite so far, Nabi holo Green. A pretty neon type green that has a pretty scattered almost linear holographic effect.

This is 3 coats. Dry time fast. No top coat and this lasted 3 days!!! That is unheard of for me, I do A LOT of washing my hands and opening packages at work. LOVE these. I totally suggest you trying some.
The seller on ebay is Shopnabi. You can also just buy 1 or 3 or 12 instead of the 6. But, I suggest getting more than a couple. I posted some pics below of the ones I picked. They arrived in 2 days! The other colors only took 2 coats.
 Thanks for stopping by!

From Left to Right: Green, Teal, Bronze, Flamingo, Purple and Dark Purple.

The bottles look like Layla bottles, I am sure that was on purpose! lol

Gloss 'n Sparkle Cotinga over Sally Hansen Calypso

Hey!
I have another polish I received during my birthday month to show you.
Gloss 'n Sparkle Continga is a indie brand polish from Austrailia.
That is where my gift came from, too.
I was excited to get this polish.
The color combination reminds me of the old basketball team,
Charlotte Hornets.
I used to wear a starter jacket with that team and their basketball jersey
when I was in junior high.
I thought I was so cool, lol.
They are no longer a team in Charlotte.
But, below is a picture of a hat from when they were.

Below is a close up of Sally Hansen Calypso Blue
Such a pretty carefree blue.
Reminds me of the ocean water when we docked during our cruise last year.

China Glaze Techno Teal

Hey!
Here is a throwback from Spring 2011.
China Glaze Techno Teal is a very subtle scattered holographic polish.
If you are wanting a "in your face holo" this is not the polish for you.
But, if you wanted a pretty color that
has hints of a holo, then here you go :)
Although, these are a bit hard to find.
It has less holographic pay off then the new 2013 China Glaze Hologlam collection.
Techno Teal has a wonderful formula that covered in 2 coats.
The dry time was fast.
The wear time was regular, maybe a little less than normal.
I have 2 others from the Tronica collection, but I am still on the hunt for Gamer Glam.
Mostly, because of the name, I am a big computer gamer nerd :P

LA Girl Purple Effect

Hey!

I have shown you the black and the blue
from this collection already.
Here is Purple Effect in 2 coats with 1 coat top coat.
Purple Effect is a chunky scattered holographic
nail polish in a  red toned purple jelly base.
It looks very similar, if not a dead on duplicate to Zoya Aurora.
This polish is just perfect.
The formula is wonderful and goes on in 2 coats.
Dry time is good.
Lasted so far, 3 days, with not chips or tip wear.
This is a drugstore find.
They are limited edition, so go now!

The price is $4.80 and can be found in most Rite Aide drugstores.
Or I believe they can be found online as well at...
